  1. Good deal. Smith is good, Jordan gets into the end zone, Moss is hurt, and Tatum is splitting carries with Mike Anderson.
  2. He's not worth what he'll get. If we could get him cheap then of course, but he's just not worth the long term investment he'll want.
  3. I like the one in the middle.
  4. http://www.arf.net/New_Images/tony%20aussie.gif http://www.soyhappy.org/images/celeb_larussa.jpg http://www.arf.net/Resources/caring/images/tonyten.jpg Creepy? What are you talking about? That's not creepy at all.
  5. More than Marquis' bad season is the fact that Walt doesn't do FA's. He doesn't like to commit to big fa contracts. Marquis will be dealt for an Of'er. If the Cards don't want Marquis for the price that he'll command this year, what makes you think that another team will, and that they'll be willing to give up something of value for him? Because other teams need starting pitching. You don't think a team like the Devil Rays, Reds, etc wouldn't want Marquis for around 6 mil?
  6. Everything 92+ is too fast for everyone except Edmonds (when healthy), Rolen, and Pujols. I'm not sure Jimmy can hit 92+ anymore. His shoulder, wrist, and ribs are hurt. That could slow down the whole swinging, turning, and striding thing.

  9. Ray wants out of St. Louis? That's maybe the first time I've agreed with him in a long time. I want him out too.
  10. No joke. Especially since that was beyond a no doubter. I'm pretty sure everyone in the park stopped for a few seconds to watch it with him. Also I just spoke to Mike Barrett and he said to watch out for retaliation only if Oswalt is about to come out of the game and knows nothing will happen to him in return.
  11. Don't forget the meth brah. Can't ever forget the meth.
  12. Yeah. The only game they lost was the save Lidge blew against the Cubs the last series of the year. I'm light headed. Anyone else think it's hilarious that Garner didn't call for the IBB considering the strike out artist himself was on deck?
  13. A Sox fan at work today called the Cards the Buffalo Bills of the baseball world. Ouch! What does that make the Sox? Wow. I can't think of a proper football analogy considering no NFL team has ever cheated away the super bowl.
  14. Albert Pujols is so unclutch. So is David Eckstein.
  15. He is horrible. Everything from his voice to his comments.
  16. J-Rod should have hit it to left then. The Juice box complaints are pathetic.
  17. For my Public Relations class I have to do an image revamp. I chose the NHL. I'm going to use this information in my presentation.
  18. I'm not trying to rip, I just question the point of this post. I defended you in another thread. The one about the div. titles.
  19. If the Cards tie it at three, who goes in game 7? Not Morris hopefully. Carp on 3 days?
  20. I'll rearrange the bold so he CFTN understands. Actually they were division winners all 5 times. He acknowledges the Cubs '03 title but contends that the Cards were co-champs in '01. '00, '01, '02, '04, and '05. That's 5 div. titles in 6 years.
  21. You're calling other people cheese balls when you just used the term "hella-gay"?
  22. Thanks for sharing. People do care about random whining happening at another forum. Are you trying to garner more acceptance by ripping Cards Talk?
  23. Kenny isn't a genius because I don't think there's a GM out there with a Mensa membership, but he put a good team together and got lucky with his staff. Other than Garcia and Beuherle there was just a bunch of talented guys who never put it together (Garland, Hermanson, Jenks, Contreras...). Add to that luck the good signing of Tad Iguchi and Ozzie's ability to get the best from his players and you have a good team. Plus Ozzie is a great post season manager. He keeps the guys loose and doesn't ever get the patented Tony La Russa "My sphincter is incredibly tight right now" playoff grimace.
  24. Shouldn't it be at best indefinitely because he leads the Cubs to tons of titles Joe Torre style?
  25. And you shouldn't be worried about yours. So there. I'd say the Astros would be favorites at this point in the series.
