At the very least, he's right in the thick of things. So you're saying he has more than a FAT chance at making the squad?

    When have I ever complained about Wisconsin? It's pretty much like what Illinois would be without Chicago - nondescript. I don't spend time there, but for you to be mad about people giving your state money is dumb.

    Pujols is more productive offensively. Arod's contract is crippling to all but the Yankees and maybe Mets/Red Sox. Pujols isn't horrible in the field, and I think gets harsh treatment here understandably because he is not as good as Derrek Lee and others but gets hyped like he is. I personally enjoy liking my players and I don't like A-Rod at all. I'd take Albert.

    We're so sorry for contributing a ton of money into your tourist economy. If you want us to stop and deprive your state of a huge source of income, we'll just go to Mackinac Island in Michigan or something like that. edit - I meant mackinac not door county.

Needless to say if they want to get rid of him cheap, there are 29 other teams who would be happy to take him off their hands.

    Not that it matters, since Ryan was wrong to say that anyway, but whoever told you that hispanics/latinos can't be black? It's not mutually exclusive at all. There are "Latinos" of all races: white, black, various "mixes" (sounds wrong but I can't think of a better word) etc. I'm a white Cuban. Entirely European descent. There are black Cubans (of African descent) too. The same goes for the South/Central American countries, only the Native Americans are much more predominant there. They weren't wiped out by the settlers to the extent that they were here and in Cuba. The label is just a creation of mainly this country as a product of our country's diversity. Very convenient to lump everyone from Spanish speaking countries into one group even though racially and culturally they are all very different. Sorry to go off on a history lesson/rant, the topic just strikes a cord (is it chord?) with me, I guess because I'm constantly hearing, "You're Cuban? But you look white!" Because the N word is a racial slur used for African Americans. Which Edgar is not.

    First off, just know that your "facts" mean nothing to me. This "logic" and "statistical analysis" that would indicate my error is completely irrelevant. THIS IS BASEBALL FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE! Do you know anything at all about it? For example: What matters more? How often someone gets on base or how "clutch" someone is? DUH! Clutchness and veteran saavy are the two most important aspects of baseball. All you muneyballers can just go make out with billy beene! Ok, I was wrong. At first, much like was pointed out, I was thinking about how La Russa manages his staff and didn't think any further than that. My point stays that if Brandon Webb is in the top 2 for Cy Young I will send whoever says he will $50.

    You did have some time on your hand. I just skimmed, but caught the above statement. The Cardinals took significant hits in the outfield and second base offensively. They massively upgraded (assuming he is healthy which by all accounts he is) with Rolen over Nunez. Spivey could be better than Grudz last year, but more than likely he'll be worse. Encarnacion will never put up an .800+ ops like Walker did last year when healthy. Bigbie/Taguchi/Rodriguez won't replace Sanders either. Our bullpen is worse as well. That said we are still probably a 90+ win team. 90-95ish.
