    FWIW - Encanacion will be hitting in front of Pujols in the 2 hole to start the season, not behind him. Probably will get a lot of fastballs. Good for him.

    In case you aren't aware Indifferent, there is a little /\ next to the starting pitchers to indicate that they are starting that day. That's the most important thing to manage.

    FWIW, Carlton isn't a very good retort as the situations are not similar. A bad trade is a bad trade. And that was a HORRIBLE trade.

    I can't think of any guys who have had recurring injury problems beyond normal pitcher's issues (a tommy john or shoulder surgery here and there). Tony keeps notecards with him of all his pitchers stats against the opposing lineups. He goes with the lefty/righty matchups but not blindly.

As a preemptive strike against Lou Brock I'll say Adam Kennedy won a WS ring and Edmonds didn't :) I try not to use ammo created 20 or so years before my birth, but I can't speak for any of the other Cards fans.

    I don't know. Jones has come in out of shape, but is Furcal + Jones + whoever you utility player is now > better than Furcal + Tejada + OF pick up?

    This is very true. But, he's a guy who could hit .300 AND hit 30 HRs. We knew what we had. Yeah, you knew what you had. 2001 - .300/.350/.536 34hr, 112rbi. I'm sure people blasted him for his work ethic but most sane fans would want him to turn it around as opposed to giving him away.

    Ok, ok...if we are going to be so realistic that we can't stick one of these guys in the OF then let's get really real. The only way Lee and Pujols EVER play on the same team, it would most likely be in the Bronx and then one of them could be the DH. Good thing were not being realistic.
