  1. Dunn with a first inning homer. Nothing since. Syd is getting a lot of run support.
  2. I wish injury on no one, but lets just say this news doesn't ruin my day.
  3. He has been injured all spring. I'm not saying it's impossible because I have about as much an idea as anyone else, and I doubt anything productive comes out of this conversation (nothing productive comes out of Edmonds convos here or steroid speculation convos anywhere) so I'll just leave it at that for now.
  4. A guy who plays in a way damaging to his body's performance starts to decline at an age past his prime? Shocking.
  5. Update (all info completely stolen from a thread on Cards Talk):
  6. McLaughlin sucks.
  7. What's you handle there brah?
  8. All this "Aramis is clearly better offensively (now or ever) stuff is just not true. A-Ram is going to be 28 in 2 months. Rolen just turned 31 8 days ago. Through age 27 Rolen had played 8 seasons; A-Ram has played 9. Rolen had won 4 gold gloves, and a rookie of the year award. Rolen ( stats through age 28 season ) - 8 seasons, 1053 games, .279/.369/.501/.870. Ramirez ( stats ) - 9 seasons, 896 games, .277/.328/.480/.808. Basically the season Rolen was Ramirez' age was his first full season with the Cards. Age 27 he had a very similar year to A-Ram's last year, and followed it up with two extremely good seasons. We'll see how Rolen's season plays out this year, but right now it is undeniable that barring injury Ramirez has more prime years left in his body. In my opinion, Rolen's career will be better when it is all said in done (defense included of course), but Ramirez should start to out perform him soon. As for the allegations of his range of effectiveness defensively diminishing I would say that we are a week into the season, he just came off a serious injury and two surgeries, and I doubt he is playing all out. We'll see how this developes though.
  9. BTW Mark - The red hat by you league info makes it hard for me to tell.
  10. Fixed. That leaves us uneven I believe, I don't really care too much at this early juncture though.
  11. Standings fools: 1. Andro vs. Cork 8-0-2 2. The FeelGoods 8-2-0 3. Kleptomaniacs 7-2-1 4. B's Teabaggers 6-2-2 5. St. Lunatics 7-3-0 6. June 15 1963 6-3-1 7. Jacque Jones Itch 6-4-0 8. 12. Personally, if I was there I would have booed when he started walking guys again.
  13. You think I didn't? Exactly. There were a lot of groans when he couldn't find the zone too.
  14. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/flash/zoomGallery?section=gen&photoGalleryId=2403785 Sweet photo gallery of new Busch from ESPN.
  15. Yes they boo'd as he came in. Best fans in baseball! Lies. There was groaning after every ball, but there were no boos.
  16. <----Anxious and nervously wonders how the bull pen is going to shore up. We've had so many guys with career years, and it doesn't look like we'll get that this year.
  17. We are helping you guys in the standings (and ourselves).
  18. I'm pretty sure that's why Larry Walker is a bullpen coach for the Cardinals.
  19. Tied up. Carlos Lee first hit in new Busch in second followed immediately by Bill Hall hitting first homerun in new Busch. Pujols hr, Molina sac fly.
  20. 5 games, but who's counting? The Mets have always been my least favorite team. Didn't you only win 4 of them though?
  21. stupid homosexual-Rod.
  22. No offense, but that was one out. What about the 4 game domination in Chicago in '03 that sent you to the playoffs? What about the Neifi grand slam last year?
  23. Cards fans used that one in 2003. It was true then, it's true now. It's pretty early, but it looks like Jocketty's tactics of using retards *er* retreads in the bullpen is finally blowing up in his face. Wainright looks good though.
  24. Our bullpen blows is my excuse.
