    That's funny. I actually don't know how much I agree with all of this though. If Juan Encarnacion spends the entire season hitting in front of Albert, don't you think he would cosistently see more strikes?

    interesting stuff Especially considering the amount of fan bickering about batting order. Sammy in '04 comes to mind. I am surprised that something that is so accepted as important and made a big deal about can actually mean so little.

    Too different to compare. They didn't just give him a hit. Wainright didn't underhand it up there. He threw a strike. Rollins still had to hit it as opposed to running right into a guy and dropping to the ground as soon as he touches you.

    I wish Miles could be part of the bet with Vance! I'm sure Vance feels the same way. Miles had a similar outing in the first game last year. You know how that turned out by the end of the season. I'm pretty sure Vance would prefer to keep it Spivey considering he plays for Memphis.

    What else do the Cards have to offer beyond Reyes? They're farm system is even more shallow than ours is. We've got some arms and a few really good position prospects. Aside from Reyes and Wainright, all of them are a few years away, but guys like Chris Lambert, Mark McCormick, Colby Rasmus, Tyler Greene, Stuart Pomeranz could be considered potential star prospects. Unfortunately, any trade for Cabrera would almost certainly completely deplete our system which is just now starting to become respectable.
