  1. Wait isn't it [clever and witty]Dumpster[/clever and witty]? I love being singled out when there were several other posters in the game thread that called him Dumpster as well. how are you being singled out? badger made a joke at the expense of the nickname, not you personally... he attacked the joke not the joker ;)
  2. Link. I found it curious because I don't see how Dunn would clear waivers. A team claiming him would not be taking on a big contract, so I could see many teams making the claim to prevent someone else from getting him. Either way, I found the quote interesting. If he's still out there, I'd hope in light of our anemic offense, Hendry would make a run at him. If a team claims him, the Reds pull him off waivers and try to make a deal with the team that claimed him. The Reds certainly won't let him go for nothing. but if he's claimed... he can't be traded, though. even if it's to that team that claimed him. right?
  3. Full Count 55 ABs 26 BBs 23 Ks .291/.512/.400 .912 OPS :) Wow...only 6 times did he get to a full count and put the ball in play? that does seem amazing... pretty sure I posted it right... link
  4. Full Count 55 ABs 26 BBs 23 Ks .291/.512/.400 .912 OPS :)
  5. What was he doing? Sleeping with a sharp stick? what he does in his personal life, behind closed doors, is none of our business.
  6. Hi I am Carlos Marmol. Hi, I'm a day off. He just asked if there were any down there. sure, but that wasn't the spirit of the question, was it?
  7. Even still, we'd be half a game out of the wildcard if we weren't leading the divsion, so our record is plenty good for this time of year.
  8. Agreed on all counts. Hell, Jeff Gordon's awful rendition was more entertaining that what looked like a 2-0 beating by the Astros...
  9. man, that brings back some Alou memories
  10. this is the first non-cubs game I've watched this year with the cubs-game-level of interest and passion. Come on! gotta get a few out of this inning, Mets!!
  11. I'd think so. Wright leads off with a walk. go Mets. if game context matters, it's top play of the week.
  12. OOOOOOOOOOhhhh! the game is lasting beyond the ninth!!
  13. Uh, no. He's still awful and every so often gets lucky. He can go to hell. come on man. that's just too much, sarcastic or not.
  14. weak? looks to me like your anti-jock glasses are tinting your view a bit.
  15. yikes. i gotta get out of the gameday thread. everyone else's TV/computer must be ahead of mine... i'm starting to read the play results before I see them
  16. hahaha lie Not really. You really think he is on par with Pujols like all announcers make him out to be? no announcer makes him out to be like pujols. no announcer makes ANYONE out to be like pujols. Please they all cream about him. He is a good player, but I have no faith in him in big situations. Lee (w/ RISP): .396 .474 .625 1.099 Lee (close/late): .314 .410 .451 .861 Pujols (w/RISP): .299 .469 .623 1.092 Pujols (close/late): 426 .542 .830 1.372 stats, this year
  17. Mets/Brewers: Reyes on third, one out. MIL leads 1-0
