  1. Then what to do with Happ? As I've mentioned outside of two weeks in April and May he's been awful. Beyond this I'd like to see Nico moved into the leadoff, Busch to 5th, put Happ in the 8th slot.
  2. Not including tonight 3-18 in his previous 5 games, been, for the most part, awful since the last week of June. Had a hot streak last week of April to first week of May outside of those three weeks it's been a desert for him.
  3. Yeah, my mistake, responded to the wrong post.
  4. Cabrera is a massive upgrade over Rea and certainly a better option than having to resort to an opener + Brown every 5th game. I really like it if Brown was not used in a such a manner again this season, he's completely ineffective in such a role.
  5. With some recent terrible pitching performances plus a slumping Tucker, Suzuki and Happ this'll happen.
  6. I know I dissed on Horton tomorrow however, I'll make a prediction - Horton ends the White Sox' offensive spurt and the reality that they're a bad team comes back.
  7. Should Cassie not be traded, does it seem realistic he'd be given a shot in LF? Because, either Happ is still ailing or he's cooked for the rest of this season. There's a hole in the lineup at 3B and really can't afford another hole in LF.
  8. + Happ not grounding into another DP, what the horsefeathers is going on here?
  9. Despite how good Houser' looked tonight I hope the Cubs do not trade for him. Can't help but think he's got a massive regression coming, let it be in some other team' uniform.
  10. In the remaining innings what'll happen first Happ getting a hit or Brujan kicking another ball?
  11. With Sunday' automatic loss, we're counting on Horton tomorrow? Just don't see it, I've no faith whatsoever that Horton' going to be remotely effective towards the Cubs winning tomorrow.
  12. I'd definitely put Shaw in the game right now Craig, game' lost, get Shaw some at bats.
  13. He hung nearly every splitter thrown tonight, you don't have to know it's coming when it's just hanging there to be hit. Even Ian Happ might hit such a pitch hard - I think.
  14. Hopefully, they'll win tomorrow, because, bullpen game + Brown on Sunday = blowout loss.
  15. I horsefeathers guarantee had that ball PCA been hit by a White Sox player tonight it would have been a 3 run HR.
  16. Imanaga getting crushed is one thing it happens sometimes. What PO's me is the continued non-competitive at bats by Tucker and Seiya, is getting tiresome and frustrating to watch.
  17. To be a slave to Houser' splits with Brujan is nonsense, I could see if the guy you're platooning with is a quality bat from the left side. Splits become immaterial when that left handed bat is completely woeful, you lose nothing by starting Shaw.
  18. I watched a few of his starts, location is the biggest piece for him. Seems he's got for few batters then loses it, I'd be delighted if the Cubs traded for him. As you said, the stuff is there and the Cubs are good at fixing, he's really not that far off from being a TOR type.
  19. For shits and giggles just checked on Cam Smith, over the last 5 games, 2-18, 7 K's, he's struggling a bit. Not trying to bash him or anything, appears to me, he can't catch up to FB's up in the zone. Didn't Taillon kind of expose this? Didn't Jameson K him to twice with high FB's?
  20. I believe Caleb' going to cook this season, he'll be significantly better. But, because we're Bears fans and can't have anything immediately good, it's going to be a super slow progression to Caleb and the offensive taking off. Which means a plethora of early negativity around Caleb and the Bears - great.
  21. Yes, regardless of a trade, I think we have to brace ourselves for one more bullpen game. Hopefully, the last bullpen game and the last appearance of Brown in such a role.
  22. Tucker' been in a slump for the better part of July, I have to think he's going to come out of it soon. Might as well start tonight.
