Also exposed the Tigers a bit, Tigers bull pen is a little shaky - thought I heard their announcers say something about them not missing many bats. And their lineup is a bat short, Zach McKinstry is leading them in WAR among non-pitchers maybe, he's an over performing veteran. But he's never had this kind of success over a larger sample size so, I guess we'll see.

You'd think they'd be better than 50-45, most especially with the likes of Gilbert, Woo, Castillo, Kirby and a decent pen. I may be wrong, and I've been wrong many times, however, I'd rather have the Brewers chasing the Cubs. Then say, the Mariners, Yankees, Phillies or Padres, these teams don't have the offensive deficiencies of the Brewers. They're not counting on the likes Andrew Vaughn to win games.

The Rockies, Royals, Diamondbacks, Orioles, Nationals, Marlins, Athletics and even the Guardians all appear to be out of it, I suspect they know they're sellers for this season.

Even Kahnle, who's been absolute money for Tigers, can blow up - 3 batters faced, 2 HR's, no one retired. Mariners with 3 runs, still no outs and a runner on 2nd.

6 of those 10 have come were against the Rockies and the Nationals, 3 1-run wins vs, the Rays. They're due for some negative regression still, though, a good team. But, I'd rather face the Red Sox at home than the Dodgers in LA. Dodgers are too good to keep pissing around, they'll get back on track.

Imanaga definitely had more juice today, just a great win, and a really good road trip. Love the way they stole a run, that's what good aggressive teams do. Once again, horsefeathers the Brewers, they'll be in LA after the break wouldn't be that surprising if the Dodgers return the favor and sweep.

PCA hitless thus far in this series, Tucker not far behind has been just as terrible. Be nice if they do some damage this game.

Cubs also have another stretch of 17 out of 20 or something along those lines coming. All good teams do it and the Cubs are good team. I think it'll coincide with Jed's improvements to starting staff.

I think it's safe to say their schedule after the break is much tougher than the Cubs, at some point, it's going to kick in, losses will come. If they don't, well, hats off to them, all that really matters is the Cubs getting into the tournament then anything can happen.

We all know it's not sustainable, Vaughn, a proven bad player, will go cold.

It's annoying, yes the Brewers are playing well and a good team. But, a couple of things, their schedule after the ASB is significantly harder than the Cubs. Coming out of break, they go on the road to LAD and SEA - there's going to be some losses. The Cubs get BOS and KCR at home, no cake walk, however not nearly as though. Second they don't have near the capacity to improve their weaknesses as the Cubs do. Cubs won't be able to close the gap in pitching, they will make it smaller. That's really all the Cubs need, the offense isn't going anywhere and is superior to the Brewers.

Just amazing, Judge as good as he is, won't approach those numbers.

I'd still take early 2000's Bonds over Judge, for me, it's not close, all things being equal, LHB >>>> RHB.

Announcers never said a word about him, don't think they even mentioned he was hitting. Just babbled about nothing, Hope comes up, they start talking about him as he K's. -
Exactly, all that matters is winning, that's the important part. Judge hitting a HR, fastest to 350, blah, blah, you lost the game.

Honestly, horsefeathers Judge, he can hit all the HR's he wants while losing to the Cubs, I'll take it.

Watched the MLB broadcast of the Yankees on YES, the announcers where assuming a DP on Swanson. Looked to me as if he had Chisholm' throw, accurate or not, beat by one, two steps. Did it appear that way to anyone else, just curious?

Dodgers have lost 7 straight, at some point they're going to get right. They play the Brewers out of the break. Bold prediction: the Brewers will lose one of those games.

He threw an awesome slider Judge didn't even come remotely close to, don't know why he didn't throw another.

I have no problem pitching to him, bottom of the 9th, 1 out, up, 5-0, for the Cubs that was a completely meaningless HR. It's the kind of HR you're OK with, doesn't matter you won.

Boyd had Judge struck out at least once, maybe, twice in that at bat.

Okay, in the majors and it's 99 and 2/3, so yes, given what's below I am fairly confident and it's extremely true.

The injury risks and the fact he's never pitched more than 99 innings aren't factors? Injury concerns sure played a role in Luzardo' possible acquisition. Marlins didn't exactly get a big time package from the Phillies.

Maybe, he appeared PO and frustrated after striking out on 2 hanging sliders yesterday. He knows full well he should have least made hard contact on those pitches. Might not be the worst thing in the world to not face Rodon and Fried when you're in a bad slump.
