  1. Don't understand the Royals trade. They must think a WC is within their reach? Because as terrible the Tigers have been for, what, 3 weeks, the Royals are still 8 games behind them. Tigers aren't going to flounder forever, they'll get back on track. Actually, Grichuk wouldn't have been that bad of an add for the Cubs.
  2. I think Seiya' going to crush one this inning hopefully it's in the air and Tucker is on base.
  3. Well, Seiya with 111 and 105 EV's his last two at-bats maybe, he's starting to come out his slump?
  4. He went through a slump earlier, this one seems longer, nearly a month?
  5. Over under on the number of pitches it take to strike Busch out? I'll say over 3.
  6. I have to think that was the greatest three innings of a barely above average picther' career there.
  7. Maybe, of course, tonight against the Cubs but, with an ERA+ of 90 he's not good.
  8. Appears he also had Meidroth struck out twice as well.
  9. What this, a ****** team grounds into a double play? The hell you say.
  10. Well, if was strikeouts wish granted, another pathetic inning from the Cubs.
  11. Hard pass, as you've suggested the regression monster is coming for him. Let some other team overpay for him and get burned.
  12. Serious reply see the numbers Derwood posted, I believe they suggest I'm not exaggerating his season. And, given those numbers, moving him to the 8th spot isn't that bad of an idea. OPS+ between 111 and 120? Going to take a long heater for such numbers to materialize, don't think we've seen any positive evidence towards that end. Look at the post in today' game thread, given he's played 93 games, I'd say without exaggeration that qualifies as really bad for nearly 2/3 of his season.
  13. A cursory look at Civale' statistics suggests the Cubs should be able to put up quite a few runs on the scoreboard tonight. I really hope Counsell learned you gain nothing from playing Brujan last night, left handed bat notwithstanding.
  14. The Brewers looked just as pathetic tonight, hell, they could only manage 1 run off the mighty Cal Quantrill. Marlins coasted to 5 - 1 win and wasn't even that close guess, the Brewers aren't serious contenders either.
  15. So your saying tonight could have worse? Thankfully, there's no one on the White Sox remotely capable of doing what Kurtz did. Nor is there a potential rookie in their system or the Cubs, for that matter, as good as Kurtz.
  16. I watched, except for, quite literally, one or two splitters, he hung every other one he tried to throw tonight. Spun everyone of them middle middle and they were crushed.
  17. Then what to do with Happ? As I've mentioned outside of two weeks in April and May he's been awful. Beyond this I'd like to see Nico moved into the leadoff, Busch to 5th, put Happ in the 8th slot.
  18. Not including tonight 3-18 in his previous 5 games, been, for the most part, awful since the last week of June. Had a hot streak last week of April to first week of May outside of those three weeks it's been a desert for him.
  19. Yeah, my mistake, responded to the wrong post.
  20. Cabrera is a massive upgrade over Rea and certainly a better option than having to resort to an opener + Brown every 5th game. I really like it if Brown was not used in a such a manner again this season, he's completely ineffective in such a role.
  21. With some recent terrible pitching performances plus a slumping Tucker, Suzuki and Happ this'll happen.
  22. I know I dissed on Horton tomorrow however, I'll make a prediction - Horton ends the White Sox' offensive spurt and the reality that they're a bad team comes back.
  23. Should Cassie not be traded, does it seem realistic he'd be given a shot in LF? Because, either Happ is still ailing or he's cooked for the rest of this season. There's a hole in the lineup at 3B and really can't afford another hole in LF.
  24. + Happ not grounding into another DP, what the horsefeathers is going on here?
