  1. Add TJ Edwards to the list of Bears defenders done for the season.
  2. I think it's safe to write him off for most, if not the rest of the season.
  3. True enough, and this is what literally bailed out the Vikings the whole horsefeathers game last week.
  4. Ditto for the Lions.
  5. Oh, I don't think they've much of chance to win this game. A good showing by offense, Caleb not looking like garbage for long stretches should be enough to signal they're headed in the right direction.
  6. Well, for me, here I'm again with the same nonsense - don't care about the defense or outcome of the game just want to see marked improvement from the QB and the offense. This has been theme for at least 8 seasons and it's getting really tiresome. I wanted Mitch and Justin to succeed but, they've mental hurdles they'll never overcome, I really hope it's not same story with Caleb. I believe in Caleb and I do not believe he has the mental limitations of Mitch and Justin. I figure he's got 6-7 games to clear up mistakes and start producing, don't think Ben will go the whole season watching the same mistakes. He'll bench Caleb and turn to Tyson.
  7. I'd been okay if it was actual ML'er beating the Cubs - Diaz, Caminero - it's even more awful when it's someone like Fortes with the big blow.
  8. Would have been nice to win today, tick another number of that playoff clinching number. Think they'll win tomorrow.
  9. That dog-horsefeathers of a baseball player has 5 HR's all this season, 2 of them off the Cubs.
  10. Cubs sure do find goofy ass ways to lose on some Saturdays, giving up a another horsefeathers HR to Fortes is certainly in line.
  11. Really don't understand how truly awful hitters like Fortes get, seemingly, hit after hit against the Cubs. Rest of league has no problems with that clown why can't the Cubs handle him?
  12. Maybe it's better to say the results have been awful at Wrigley Field.
  13. Don't think Seiya out of the line up is a difference maker in fact, it may do more good than harm. Looked at his home/road splits and, it's not pretty, he's been terrible at Wrigley Field this year.
  14. Yep, sometimes I call the baseball post season the tournament because, much like the NCAA tournament, anything can and usually does happen.
  15. It's certainly true the Cubs have enough talent to beat anyone. I hope you're correct about the end of the slumping bats, it'd make the post season a heck of a lot more fun if Busch, Tucker, PCA and company got going.
  16. You'll agree the big Cubs bat's have been in a deep funk for a while, yes? We've seen a plethora of games where truly awful pitching dominates them. I have not looked, it might be the same story with the Padres. Nevertheless, because of the Cubs slumping bats, with no end in site, is why I do not believe they've much of a chance to advance.
  17. I've always thought he's a glorified meathead. However, he did manage to find some excellent assistant coaches, we'll see if he can do so again.
  18. That is Richard Dreyfus. I finally got it, sharp as a marble I am, What About Bob? Now, the gif above makes a hell of a lot more sense.
  19. Sounds good, I don't expect the Cubs to advance, if they do wouldn't be too bad to play the Brewers. I believe the Cubs have a better chance at a long playoff run than the Brewers. Depends on one or more of the Cubs hitters coming out of the deep freeze they've been in the last three months. Say some of them come to life, then the Cubs have way more power than Brewers, the HR plays big in the post season. The Brewers MO of needing multiple hits to score works well, hell is awesome, against the Ryan Presslys and Colin Reas of the regular season. Post season is another story, for the most part, you don't have the luxury of facing the crappy pitching you see for a good deal of the regular season. The hits are harder to come by, that's why when you get them it helps if they are big ones - HR's.
  20. He did make the correct read, missed on the throws. I saw on it Jenkins' film review, the skills are there, looking off DB's, processing, etc., film don't lie, just, for whatever reason, accuracy was way off. I know the haters want to rip on Caleb focusing on all the bad, that's fine. But there's also glimpses of really horsefeathers good, the challenge is increasing the good and decreasing the bad.
  21. Amen. You never know what's going to happen, some of the Cubs' hitters who have been in coma the last three months could come to life. These kinds of things occur every year in the playoffs.
  22. Me too, probably not as vicious as it's been, after watching Jenkins' film review some of it is certainly warranted. To my untrained eye it appeared the scheme is working, people are getting open, unfortunately, Caleb missed on nearly all of them. They left a horsefeathers-ton of points on the field.
  23. Given that almost no one is hitting does it make a difference who's batting cleanup?
  24. I wonder if it'll be longer than 6 games, maybe, 7 or 8, will Chicago and the media be able to handle waiting that long? Probably not.
  25. Just curious, often hear about timing and throwing to spot, anticipation and all that horsefeathers. The unfortunately aspect is it very well may get worse before it gets better. Given it's the Bears, I'd say, the probability of things getting worse before they improve is 1 a.s.
