  1. Offensively they'll be right there with any of those teams, defensively well, not much to say on that front.
  2. A scoreless top of the first in game 3 would be a great start. Something, anything, positive could snowball and have a big effect.
  3. + Astros' reliever, who while effective in 25, has metrics strongly suggesting a downturn in performance.
  4. King or Cease are true TOR starters types, I think one of them will be a Cub.
  5. The unfortunate part of their schedule is that the really difficult stretch aligns with when I expect them to hit their offensive stride. Late November into December Caleb and the offense will be cooking it'll make the Bears ultra-dangerous for somebody. My guess is the Niners or Packers, Eagles and Lions are a level above everyone else in the NFC.
  6. At this point don't know if I'm going to bother wasting time on game 3. Maybe, I'll tune back in to watch the Dodgers finish off the Brewers. At least, they beat the Padres and advanced one round which will be more than the Phillies can say. Hell, the Phillies aren't even going to win a game in the 2025 post season.
  7. If Quintana is going for game 3 I'd like to see Willi at 3b, I'd be willing to trade offense from anywhere for defense.
  8. I agree the team is not better with Tucker but, the best indicator of future injury is past injury history. He's shown he cannot be relied upon to actually play.
  9. If they could force a game 5, I'd love to see Ben Brown start that game.
  10. Well, if you believe Jed they did make a very "competitive" offer to Bregman.
  11. The Cubs will either pound the Brewers or lose 4-1 in game 3.
  12. I like Tucker but, him being effectively in absentia for 3 months has kind of dampened my enthusiasm.
  13. Cubs got two hanging breaking balls and the best they could do is pop them up. Something tells me you can't count on such ineptitude from the Dodgers.
  14. Just like the Cubs went 7-0 against the Mets in 2015. Go ahead and believe your Brewers have chance if it makes you feel good.
  15. They won't have the luxury of facing a tired Boyd or a struggling Shota. They won't have many chances for their dribblers, etc. Also, what the Brewers have done this season is a non-sustainable statistical outlier so, Brewers fans enjoy it while you can.
  16. I have to think they'll focus on starting pitching.
  17. Nice catch by PCA made it so easy and, you know what, there isn't a Brewer who could come remotely close to doing what PCA just did. I'll take what I can.
  18. It's going to be the Dodgers, thinking they're going to roll through everyone to another WS which really sucks. They're a very bad match up for the Brewers all their starters are healthy, all feature velocity. Even resident Brewers fan Matt has to admit the Dodgers are a bad match up.

  20. I honestly have no problem with him letting walk, his injury history won't improve with age. Go after Cease or King or both. Shaw will improve, Busch will probably get better, I'd gladly trade Tucker for Cease/King and Cassie in RF.
  21. That Dodgers team is starting to wake up and resemble the team everyone thought they might be. These Brewers (or Cubs) are no match for that team.
  22. Oh well, I'll take some schadenfreude in watching the Dodgers roll over these guys.
  23. After Ashby, near as I can tell, Koenig and Gasser the remaining LHP in their pen. If a miracle occurs and the Cubs jump on Ashby, I don't they can avoid Busch facing a righty.
  24. It'd be cool to see what Brett Bielema could do with that type of talent. If Illinois could ever recruit at a higher level we might see a real threat in Champaign.
