  1. Be it C.C. Sabathia , Rich Harden or AJ Burnett I hope Hendry pulls trigger soon, if it waits until the trading deadline we'll have to endure at least four more Marquis starts. I'm assuming of course, that upon a deal for a SP, Marquis is going to be pulled from rotation - its the obvious and smart move.
  2. And that's the ballgame, with of course, the Cardinals tying it up (at least) in Detroit and holding the Tigers down with that joke of a bullpen!!!!
  3. Until its realized I can't get over thinking Paxson' going to do something foolish - trade the pick or draft Beasley.
  4. The Cards show glimpses of what will be their undoing - that joke of a pitching staff. Duncan can call it another name or whatever but, at the end of the day, crap is still crap or a horse by any other name is still a horse.
  5. Now fat ass represents the tying run.
  6. I'm surprised there aren't well-defined rules - there have been a few ambidextrous pitchers in pro ball, even at the MLB level. Greg Harris in 1995 for the Expos and this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Mullane 567 innings in 1884, even load balancing between two arms, is pretty amazing. 284 wins? Why isn't this fellow in the HOF? There are certainly many other pitchers less deserving who are members.
  7. The performance of Ludwick, Schumaker and Miles notwithstanding the key point is they're not pitchers, barring any trades the St. Louis staff is going to be their undoing. The bullpen is currently 24 of 30 in ERA, we've seen some of it and its not good, the starters are 9 of 30 in ERA - with the likes of Looper, Lohse, Piniero and Mitchell Boggs (who is 2-0 despite issuing more BB's than K's along with more hits than IP and 3 HR's in 16.1 IP!) - do you really believe this group is going to keep this up?
  8. The formula is: 0 White Sox HR's = 0 Runs or if you keep them in the park they're not going to score.
  9. I gota feeling Drew' going to park one here...
  10. They got the top of the order up it's not out of the realm of possibility.
  11. Just flat out luck, there are some Cardinal apologists out there who like to argue they're good but, simply it's luck, at some point this season it's going to turn on them.
  12. I'm convinced the 3rd base umpire called it a swing because he was aghast that McClelland didn't ring AJ up to begin with. That was obscene. Speaking of, how wasn't that Cabrera foul ball called a homer? It hit the foul pole... Harrelson and Jackson were pretty quiet after that pitch I believe they were shocked it wasn't called strike 3 by McCelland as well, they didn't bitch too much about the appeal to 3rd.
  13. By the way how was that 3-2 pitch to AJ Pierzynski not called strike 3 by the home plate Umpire? It looked liked it split the plate down the middle waist high.
  14. I don't know what was better Lee and Aram or Harrelson and Jackson going mute after Aram' walkoff HR.
  15. I'd be surprised if Percival doesn't implode on them at some point this season.
  16. too many. That of course, was the big reason Tampoon Bay whoops Tampa Bay swept, if I were the opposition I wouldn't count on Lee and Aram being that bad again.
  17. I thought having Marmol start the 7th was a mistake, I would have gone with Erye in 7th, Marmol in 8th and Wood in the 9th.
  18. Anyone know how many LOB Lee and Aram had this series?
  19. What angers me is this is not a better team the Cubs are losing to.
  20. While is not looking good at the moment, if the Cubs play this team again in October it'll be a much different story but, chances are this won't happen-Tampa Bay won't even make the playoffs.
  21. Have any of change ups Shield has struck the Cubs on been in the zone?
  22. Call it over reacting if you want, but I just feel outmatched. Its almost as though they watched 0 game tape of this team. By a team that's not too impressive, especially yesterday, average to poor junk balling pitcher, bunch of cheesy opposite field singles.
  23. I'm going with a warning track fly to LF here
