  1. I was thinking about that as well, that last goal was super soft.
  2. Sloppy play all around, the third goal all on Niemi couldn't control the rebound, the second unforced turnover, the first a bounce that went Vancouver way. Basically, they've taken advantage of every Hawk mistake, it more the Hawks lack of good play than anything the Canucks are doing.
  3. Kane just hit the post but, drew a penalty.
  4. atdhe.net always has one. if that's one isn't working, PM me and i'll give you a link to a second place Once again, thank you very much.
  5. Anyone know of a Web feed for tonights game? Thanks in advance.
  6. This is a quote from an article, or is this one of the goofs over there like Ryan Christie? I believe it is a goof, but I think he took the AD thing from an article. Not 100 percent sure. Either way intresting stuff. His seat has to be getting warmer. I agree his seat is getting a little warm. Missing the tournament this year is going to require some serious leaps forward next year. Obviously the tournament is necessary, but I'm not sure he can survive something like an 8 seed and done next year. I'm not sure he should either. Of course I'm a kool-aid swilling homer and think we're making the tourney this year, and have a Final 4 chance next year. I agree, now that the recruiting been fixed, he's running out of excuses, with the addition of Leonard, Richmond and hopefully, a healthy Crandell Head. There's no reason not to expect a elite 8 or more run in 2011-12, the team' going to be loaded with big time talent.
  7. Huet still worries me, the guy faced only 18 shots and still managed to let in 4 goals, was it not the same story in Minnesota? Faced a low number of shots but, found a way to give up 6 goals - you can't ask more of the Hawks defense. They limit the number of opprotunities for the opponent, at some point Huet' gotta start coming up big.
  8. Eventually, we'll see some consistent play from the Illini maybe, it'll result in some NIT wins.
  9. LOL, they're going to run this whole thing by committe. Who needs a coordinator? You've seen the player huddle on the sidelines. Now the Bears are going to invent the assistant huddle to vote on plays & defenses. Supah Bowl. College of Coaches anyone? That sure worked out well for the Cubs. I don't understand what the Bears are doing either, Lovie wants to run, run, run the ball. If that's the case why trade for Cutler and has Lovie been watching the playoffs at all?
  10. Agreed after the first period. I'll take a win in Detroit any day though. Detroit never lead in the game. It was a road game against a divisional rival. That's hardly "stealing one.". It's winning a tough road game in hostile territory. Good point, the Blackhawks are better plain and simple, the Red Wings blew they're wad today and still couldn't win.
  11. The Saints are going score a lot of points next week, guys are still open all over the place and I believe the Saints will keep the Vikings off Brees. Will the Saints be able to make a few stops?
  12. Nice win, had my doubts going into the shootout, is it me or was there something cheesy about Bertuzzi' distracting Nemi with an ice shower?
  13. No way in the world were the Illini going to win but, the shoving and pushing of Tisdale was a bit over the top, MSU should have been called on it once or twice.
  14. Lovie perceived lame-duck status notwithstanding, what's the point of hiring a DC? As Lovie has emphatically informed us the defensive scheme is not going change hence, a DC with fresh ideas or some autonomy is an impossibility. Basically Lovie' looking for a yes man, he'll still run the defense just not officially.
  15. How many names and seasons from the last seven years or so could you plug into that sentence to describe Cardinal players, though? Ryan Ludwick, Rick Ankiel, Kyle Lohse, and Aaron Miles are the most recent that come to mind, and I suspect that Franklin and Joel Piniero will be right behind them. Tony Womack, Ray King, it goes on and on...
  16. Makes sense, don't believe Franklin' going to pull another season out of his ass such as 2009.
  17. Go for it, I know it's pathetic but, even should he never throw a pitch as a Cub, sign him. Anything to keep him from the Cards, I can see it now - they sign Sheets, he misses another season, then steps right in for Carpenter in 2011.
  18. What a pity for Bengal fans that the high point of their season was the ass-kicking of the Bears. beating the steelers twice was the high point, easily But the Steelers weren't overjoyed with Bengals' victory such as the Bears.
  19. What a pity for Bengal fans that the high point of their season was the ass-kicking of the Bears.
  20. Your preference will come true, I just hope it the former of the two. Count me in on Sheets as well, if only to keep him from the Cards. Sheets, often injuried, out for a season - that's got Card's pixie dust all over it.
  21. Yes, I was way off, saw one site had them 24th - didn't research - I believe they were near the top as recent as last season.
  22. I doubt that. They could easily fall from the top spot, where they are now, but middle of the pack? Their core is still very young with huge upside. And while Hossa might be a problem in 5 years, he easily earns his cap hit. They have two problem contracts, Campbell and Huet. Huet's is more or less meaningless as he doesn't have much time left on it and they can replace him internally. And Campbell isn't exactly useless, and there are options for getting rid of him. It's one thing to be up against cap trouble when you're a team like the Redskins who isn't good in the first place. Or in hockey, you have the Rangers who spent a crapload on non-elite free agents and didn't develop much of anything internally. But when you are great, and young, you can live tight to the cap and stay in contention for a while. Not to mention, what, a top five, if not the top, farm (don't know the hockey term) system in the NHL.
  23. I really do wish the Red Wings were healthy because, I believe these Hawks are definitively better and would handle them in 6 if not, 5 games in a playoff series.
  24. Almost all of them defensive coaches. Says something about the ability to work with Lovie Smith in the scheme he likes. I believe there is a crapload of evidence that he's just a stubborn dunce who cannot think creatively and will not tolerate any meandering from the hard and fast rule of his way or highway, the hell with results. The best coaches adapt strategy to the talent they have to work with, Lovie never has, and never will do that. This is what I was thinking of as well, there's something to work with on the offensive side, the right coach, putting to use what he has could make it work. But numb-nuts would rather try to fit a square peg into a circular hole.
  25. If they put up another dud of a season offensively then the Cutler-hate should ratchet up quite nicely and we can go ahead and burn that bridge. Good time. Which would be a shame because, he's got the talent to be one of the best Bear QB's ever - even without the likes of greatest WR of all time (according to many on the Score and others) Brandon Marshall, he still managed to throw more TD passes than Orton.
