    When Harris was orginally injuried I remember reading something to the extent that his type of injury was one in which a very low percentage of players returned from. It essentially read that his career was basically over.

    Olsen could serve as the big target no? As for the remaining WR's we've seen flashes from Knox and Bennett, the talent is there, I believe it's only a matter of time with Cutler and company. Olsen is still receiving double coverage. Despite his lack of production, teams still see him as a big threat, and scheme to shut him down. Until our WR's become larger big play threats, that'll continue to happen. They've all had nice moments, but nothing that makes another team say "Oh crap, we'd better start double covering Knox/Hester/Bennett" WR's becoming a threat - Think that'll happen? I'm thinking, if it does, it'll probably take a season for it to develop.

    I believe the Bears have a decent shot at winning this provided they can get out of their own way and limit the mental mistakes. What is about Lovie' teams that frequently have breakdowns late in close games leading to the inevitable loss? We've see it time and time again over his career as Bears coach.

    I agree 100%, Cutler and it's not even close, Orton success is due to those many other factors previously mentioned. I have noticed he's making some fantastic throws, threading the needle, just fractions from being intercepted. I don't know if his accuracy has improved that much or he's been a little lucky.

    Who knows maybe the Bears will get another shot at them down the line, they'll go into the game with their chests all puffed out and the Bears will kick the [expletive] of them.

    Just like the GB loss, you could say OK they were better but, the Bears beat themselves all night, dumb plays, mental mistakes. Nothing special about Falcons Chris and Michael, NO going to lay 40+ their asses. Hell, if the Bears could have gotten out of their own way, they'd had 24 or so.

    Atlanta can't cover Knox they'll probably make adjustments so, maybe Bennett or Olsen will come up big.

    Looks to me that if Cutler would quite throwing to wrong guys the Bears would be up at least 14-0.

    I have to admit, with Carpernter an Wainwright as the 1-2 and Pujols/Holliday/Ludwick in middle, I thought they had a great chance to do some serious damage in the postseason. I also think they will be a lesser team at the start of 2010. Holliday and DeRo will leave, and Franklin won't repeat his 2009 performance. It's a given Franklin won't repeat his 2009 performance but, I'm not certain about Holliday. He seem's like the perfect hick, Cardinal written all over him, maybe Boras being his agent will be the mitigating factor.

    Fantastic!!!! I thought their bullpen would be the weak spot but, it never really got to that point. I was not as impressed with the Cardinals as many experts were, they had that incredible August but, were pretty ordinary outside of August.

    Brillant Zook, try 51 yard fg instead of going for it when your down 17 with less than four minutes remaining.
