  1. Well, that confirms it, the Hawks are not the mediocrity that is the rest of Chicago sports teams. I thought they were far superior prior to this game but, I'd say there's no doubt now.
  2. I don't see it happening either. I'm guessing Lovie and Jerry get one last chance to make it work with a new OC next season. the problem there is the only kind of system that's easy enough to learn in such short a time is a turner-esque west coast system. Well yeah, it's not an ideal situation. I'd prefer they cut loose everybody and start fresh. But they will feel the need to do something, and the best thing they can do is try and get a guy who can salvage the Cutler experiment. Turner has never develop a top quality QB, college or pro. He's been around for a long time and hasn't done it. Maybe his system is fine, but he can't coach a QB to perform in it. I can't see the Bears giving them another chance to make a move with the defensive coordinator situation. The offense continues to disappoint, as it's been a bottom half squad for nearly every Ron Turner season. In 9 seasons as OC the offense has ranked in the top half only twice, and only once have they been top ten. They have been 20th or worst in most every other season. They've had a consistent lack of ability to move the ball and score points. They have to make some sort of move affecting the offense. Doesn't it all start with the OL? OL, for the most part, means draft, at which Angelo and Smith have shown they are unable to do well.
  3. I believe Bolland was expected to miss as much as 4 months. With an early November surgery that would keep him out until March, which might give him a month to get back into playing shape before the playoffs. So, it reads as if he's effectively done for the season.
  4. When is Bolland due to be back? Or, was his injury a season ending one? The most refreshing aspect of the Hawks, besides winning, compared to the Bears and Bulls is they're truly a good team, not the poor teams that are the Bears and Bulls. It's ashame ND gets more coverage in Chicago then this really good Blackhawk team.
  5. Man that sucked, I guess one can take comfort they'll get their asses kicked in the Rose Bowl.
  6. There's two another one coming up.
  7. Being on the other end of such scores I don't blame Standford or anyone else running up the score on them when they have the chance.
  8. Currently enjoying a boozy Bells Olde Ale while watching, got a growler of their Rye Stout which I'm going to soon tap.
  9. I agree, what the heck, go for it!
  10. that's what i thought when we played them, then he threw a 60 yard td pass. If you've got a QB who can pass the ball I don't believe you with such a play as Tressel just did.
  11. Come on Hawkeyes the guy can't throw the ball and he isn't going to.
  12. Hawkeyes gang up on the run? Most especially the QB sneak.
  13. I love seeing that kind of play happen to one of the good ol' boys because, that kind of [expletive] usually happens in their favor.
  14. That was a free play, flag on the defense.
  15. Same effect as a turn over.
  16. There's still a shot! Don't think Tressel will be foolish enough to let Pryor throw the ball but, you never know.
  17. Ryan Howard taking an o-fer didn't help either.
  18. Outside of New York who gives a rat's ass the Yankess ended their nine year "drought" and won the WS?
  19. In the Miami huddle - let 'em shoot, set up for the rebound.
  20. That ought to do it six point lead with the Bulls are shooting, might as well be a fifty point lead.
  21. Rose is 1-10 on jumpers, it's got to be ankle or tendon.
  22. Yeah, he's done, the coaching staff has got to see this while reviewing the game films. Now will they have the nerve to bench him and expose Angelo' bad signing?
  23. Maybe next season after they sign Wade but, seriously, some defense would help. Garnett - they've got no answer for him. But, it astunds me as to why they cannot defend Ray Allen, he's only looking for the three hanging around the perimeter and Pierce? The guy does samething with ball everytime, left, left, left, why haven't they figured that out? Really, though bothguys are in the top 50 scorers of all time. So no one is figuring them out. I don't deny the were once great players but, now? I saw nothing special from Allen Friday, Pierce probably still has more in the tank than Allen.
  24. What about something like treating nearly every down as the opposition is blitzing? Cannot effectively block anyone so, go with something quick.
  25. Was that the inane zone coverage or just another example of crappy Bears secondary?
