  1. Top 35. Maybe. what did he do? Tried to skate with Kane.
  2. Best part of the game was Pronger trying to get back on Sharp' goal, that was hilarious. He's in mud and the Hawks just flied by the Flyer. The third Flyer goal should have never counted and, the SOB, Hartnell should be suspended for game 6, intent all the way with that elbow on Kopecky.
  3. I'm going the other way, f**k all the doom and gloom sh*t, the Hawks found their legs last night, the effects of the long layoff have worn off. For all the talk about the Flyers' supposed greatness one singular truth remains their goal tending sucks and a Hawks team with their legs back is going to exploit that tomorrow.
  4. What game were watching tonight? Extend that 3rd period and the Hawks get 3 more- easy.
  5. I think the Hawks may have finally found they're legs, couple of bad turnovers and lucky bounces against them, they outplayed the Fylers this game.
  6. I think the Hawks have to start taking dives and embellishing a little, Q's gotta start getting the ref's ears as well, this PP [expletive] is getting out of hand.
  7. I've noticed that as well, bouncing like a super-ball on them.
  8. Really? During their multiple PP's what did they get two shots? Hawks CARRIED they play otherwise.
  9. What I don't get is why they're not dumping and chasing when Pronger is on the ice. To put it kindly, he's lost a step, all Toews has to do is push the puck ahead when Pronger' on him, he'll beat him to the puck 10 out of 10.
  10. Really? During their multiple PP's what did they get two shots? Hawks cared they play otherwise.
  11. Hawks were sure "dominated" in that period.
  12. 2-2 or not, this team is falling apart and facing a bad matchup problem. It's theoretically possible they might get lucky and steal two games they don't deserve, but it's not going to happen. Give me a break, are you aware of the garbage Philly has in net? It's going to cost them.
  13. I still feel good about tonight, Leighton is shakey as hell, keep shooting, it's going to in, the Hawks are going to light him up, it's coming.
  14. Unfortunately, I too remember that year, still pissed about the Illini loss, they had handled Michigan with relative ease in the regular season. Kicked the [expletive] of out them in one of the games, there's no doubt the Illini were the better team, lucky bounce went their way - the only productive thing Sean Higgins ever did as a Wolverine.
  15. Grew up listening to Pat Foley on 570 AM - I pretty certain it 570AM - nevertheless, Bannerman!!!!! with the save!!!! Doug Wison, Bob Murray, Steve Larmer - remember him hitting the post with such force the ping seemed to resonant in my room, Ludzik, Eddie Olczyk, Al Secord and of course, Savoir Faire - Denis Savard.
  16. Win or lose wouldn't you love to see Lilly knock him on his ass? It's certainly in order.
  17. Referees: Kelly Sutherland, Stephen Walkom Linesmen: Jean Morin, Steve Miller Thanks, was wondering if Mr. McCreary or whatever the hell is name is was involved.
  18. Speaking as a Blackhawk fan it wouldn't be so far fetched to think a Pronger cheap shot was at the heart of it.
  19. Couldn't find who officiated the game tonight anyone know?
  20. But, they sure as hell didn't miss the roughing on Brouwer when all he was trying to do was protect his goalie.
  21. They came headhunting and still took, what, 7 or so minutes for a penalty to be called on them.
  22. Who could blame him? They so much as breath on a Flyer and it's called.
  23. This PP [expletive] is getting out of hand, I don't question the Hawks being called but, the lack of calls on the Flyers is questionable. They've tripped, interfered and slashed like crazy yet no calls.
  24. What the hell is Ricketts going to do? Also just so you know, Ricketts didn't have to choose between fixing the bathrooms or spending more money on the team. He is the owner, so he has to worry about all areas of the team even if winning is his #1 priority. When there are so many problems with the product on the field, he looks like an idiot constantly worrying about the ballpark and the "fan experience." Winning cures all. Cub fans need to treat this organization like the Blackhawk fans treated it...quit going to games, quit buying merchandise and quit watching/listening. As a fan, I am sick of hearing Ricketts talk about winning yet nothing changes in relation to the baseball operations. Piniella should be fired today. You can't fire 25 players, but Lou can go. Again, one run in 4 of the last 5 games and he basically does nothing to shake things up. Ricketts has been the owner for 6 months, what do you expect to happen in 6 months? He's never run a baseball team before, and he is just getting his feet wet here. He needs time to evaluate everything in the organization before going around firing people and making radical changes. After such a short amount of time, there is no way any of us fans really know how Ricketts is going to run the team long term. By the end of this offseason, it will begin to look clear, and by the next offseason we'll have a pretty good idea of how this team will be run and at that point we can judge how much he wants to win or how capable that is in his hands. I know losing is frustrating, but if you honestly thought we had a good shot of winning the WS this year no matter what we did, unless a lot of pieces fell perfectly into place, then you need to lower your expectations a bit. I completely agree we should be contending every year with our resources, but the blame is not on Ricketts, its on the general manager of this club. Beyond a doubt, given the payroll, one could make a case this Cub team is one of the most poorly constructed, if not the worst, in the history of Baseball.
  25. It's so refreshing to see the results of truly professional team such as the Blackhawks. Who would have thought one day the Blackhawks would be the best team - and it's not even close - in Chicago. They're the polar opposite of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and White Sox as far as how to run a sports team.
