  1. Yes!!!! I'd say that's as close to a productive ab as Ramirez is going to get.
  2. Does Ramirez manage to put the ball in play this ab?
  3. It's about time Jones hit the dirt, I know it won't happen however, it might get him thinking about something other than the BP the Cubs keep throwing to him.
  4. Given the Hawks skating ability that's an amazing coincidence, it's hard to believe he's been objective in any way shape or form.
  5. I will wager you a nickle that the Wings finish higher then the Hawks next season Based on what?
  6. I saw Allen hit that three and I said to myself why can't the Magic guard a guy who basically hangs out around the perimeter looking for the three? On the replay I saw why - Garnett the moving screen, why does it seem the Celtics keeping getting away with that [expletive]?
  7. I know we've been burned as Cub fans and maybe it's hard to wrap our minds around our team being the better team but, one can slice it a million ways. And it'll lead to the same conclusion the Hawks are the best team in the NHL. They bested the Sharks, they'll beat the Flyers as well, no matter how many ways we try to manifest the Flyers as something more than they are.
  8. Holy [expletive] Habs SHOOT THE [expletive] PUCK!!!!!!!!!
  9. neither niemi nor the blackhawks dominated vancouver. But Philly isnt Vancouver. I'm just saying whoever the Hawks face in face in the Finals, could easily be the weakest opponent Chicago will face in these playoffs. When all is said and done I believe the Predators will end up being the toughest opponent.
  10. neither niemi nor the blackhawks dominated vancouver. But Philly isnt Vancouver. I'm just saying whoever the Hawks face in face in the Finals, could easily be the weakest opponent Chicago will face in these playoffs. One could make the argument the Flyers are better than appear, et al but, think about this: -Injury excuse? Sorry, Blackhawks actually lost more games to injuries than the Flyers - 73 to 54. -Flyers put up 88 points in the Eastern Conference, they would have finished 12th in the Western Conference also, consider, those 88 points came against predominately weaker opponents as well. -The Hawks other the hand, put up 112 points against a stronger schedule and faced far better teams in the playoffs than the Flyers. Make no mistake our Blackhawks are far better than the Flyers or Canadiens.
  11. Why do many of the analysts keep looking for reasons the Hawks are up 2-0 other than the Hawks are the better team? Engblom last night - "Toews and Kane are no better than Zetterberg and Datsuyk why can't the Sharks handle them?" - that may be so but, Mr. Engblom, the Blackhawks are better than the Red Wings.
  12. I agree but, what's encouraging to me is they're going to start playing better at the United Center so, you got to like they're chances in game 3.
  13. IDK what you are talking about, but Melrose has been on the Hawks bandwagon since Toews/Kane era began. In fact the Hawks are his favorite to win the Stanley Cup. Not to mention he's in love with the Hawks jersey. Yeah I swear in every analysis he throws in "and they have the best jersey in sports." Well, yeah.
  14. 'Bout time the Hawks start playing better at home, you can feel it coming.
  15. I don't know about that earlier in the season he was really complimentary of the Hawks, saying he loves the way they play.
  16. Yes, Hossa has been awesome, even though it would have been a cheapie was hoping he was get an empty netter. What about Bolland!!!!! What more can you say?
  17. The thing about playing with house money is that you still need to keep winning in order to finish ahead. Good point.
  18. It's drawing near, the Hawks are playing with house money but, wouldn't it be something if they won tonight as well? Man, up 2-0 going back to the United Center, where they're bound to start playing better, it'd be a treat.
  19. Wouldn't Three Floyds brews be available in Elkhart? If so, that alone makes a decent place.
  20. Was watching the highlights (again) from game 6 vs. Vancouver - [expletive] the Hawks are good! This really is an elite team, I mean it really is, such a phenomena does NOT occur frequently amongst Chicago teams.
  21. This is only true depending on the type of team you have. The Hawks, who can score 5-6 goals a game could be ok without an elite goalie but the Canadiens for example, would have been gone in round one. It's not just offense though. The Hawks have strong defense, other than the goalie. So Niemi doesn't have to stand on his head. Same point I was trying to make to my Red Wings fan Mother-In-Law, she keeps telling me Niemi too weak, unproven, etc. - doesn't get the point, because of team in front of him, he only has to be solid.
  22. Bingo!! I believe that's all were going to end up with, zero faith in Gar and Johnny.
  23. In what I read he wasn't saying the Canucks were better. I believe the quote was more like he didn't think the Blackhawks were necessarily better than Vancouver, but maybe smarter. Essentially he called them even with Chicago's discipline/smarts being the difference, and while I'm still a hockey novice, I'd have to agree with that sentiment. Smarter, know how to win and won the series is that not the better team?
  24. Bobby Lu was quoted as saying his Canucks are still better than the Hawks however, the Hawks are a smarter team that knows how to win. Nice contradiction Bobby...
