  1. Pretty amazing that was seen and called yet, a blatant face mask on the QB, the player everyone' watching, goes uncalled. Vikings/Lions
  2. Are the WR's truly unable to get open or is numbnuts now scared to throw the ball?
  3. NOPE. In the back of my mind I considered it might be blocked so, it won't be this one.
  4. Think this upcoming FG is the game winner?
  5. Why would you say this when you just witnessed our defense win a game vs. Detroit in exactly this fashion? Counting on the defense to score doesn't seem like a solid game plan, I hope I'm wrong.
  6. I don't the believe the defense is good enough to win with a game manager as QB. One way or the other the offense must make some plays, probably with the passing game. How many is Oakland to commit to the run defense 8 or 9? Will they even consider the passing game?
  7. He's right about one thing: he won't be back. :banned: Theo Epstein will smite this redneck hillbilly and he will turn into a top prospect for the Cubs. If I were a Cardinal fan regarding the Cubs worst possible event just occurred - they hired a smart, competent front office. Given their resources the Cubs are a sleeping giant, all it's ever taken is the right people pushing the right buttons.
  8. I'm sure in 03 they were all pulling for us. Don't those hicks get how rivalries work? We don't like you. That's a rhetorical question right?
  9. They like to head on down to the local liberry to type on them fancy electronic typewriters and pick up some Skoal on the way home. I believe there are some right smart typing televisions at the book building as well.
  10. What did he say? "There was a Saturday night when we were down 1-0 to Chicago, and these fans helped us come back. That turned our season around!" Really how do you take credit for facing a guy who couldn't throw strikes?
  11. That reads like a Hendry endorsed plan, let's go with it.
  12. Agreed and when you think about it there's no reason why the Cubs shouldn't rule the NL Central.
  13. Also a two out fly ball to rf that should have been caught .
  14. At least Joe Buck can't express his Aaron Rodgers love in the Super Bowl this year...if they get there. Buck dreams of a Rodgers Tebow sandwich.
  15. I was thinking the along the same lines, if we finally have a front office that's going to properly utilize our superior resources we could render the Cards, Brewers, Astros and Pirates into the lilliputians they are within the next few years.
  16. Are you [expletive] serious? I'm not watching -- what'd those [expletive] say? Buck mentioned something about the 1945 Series, think it was last time both teams, in a game 7, scored in the first inning was the Cubs-Tigers in 1945. And of course, McCarver comes back with it was also the last time the Cubs appeared in the WS as if noboby knew.
  17. Yet another base runner on a ball not leaving the infield, hey that's what a good team does.
  18. Oh, by the way, McCarver and Buck go [expletive] yourselves with another dig at the Cubs - that 1945 Series reference.
  19. Despite the probability of Pujols signing elsewhere being low, I'd love to how the Cardinals would fare without him. After all, they've got the great Craig Allen, David Freese and least we forget, Ryan Theriot to make up the difference.
  20. But, but, this "good" world series worthy team.
  21. To add to the frustration I believe Carpenter' pitching on fumes of course, a 2 foot outside corner does help.
  22. You don't remember when Jason Dubois and Kevin Orie lead us to a world series? Forgot about that one, good call.
  23. Next year we're going to be nauseated with the Allen and Freese prospect press. Yep, 29 year old prospects, only team lucky.
  24. IT'S ALBERT PUJOLS AND PRINCE FIELDER Including over the top high estimates for arbitration awards, the Cubs payroll sits at 90M. So your plan is to do what exactly with the rest of the 40M? GIVE IT TO YOU AFTER PUJOLS AND FIELDER ARE SIGNED DUE TO YOUR INFLUENCE
