  1. Most importantly, they still have to live in Cleveland. Well there's Great Lakes Brewing plus the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...

    NFL Week 5

3 in a row for the Lions over the Packers, watched most of the game yesterday, Rodgers fumbled twice, lost one, came close to throwing a pick. Overall, despite throwing for 400+ yards, looked less than an awesome Super QB, was waiting for him to come up with a spectacular 4th quarter comeback never happened. Maybe, these days, he saves that only for the Bears. It would be great to see the Bears beat him and Packers down in December, based upon what I saw yesterday coupled with an improving Bears team, I think there's a chance.
  3. You're correct but, I do believe we're going to see and hear quite a bit how much better the Brewers are than Cubs, etc. going into next season.
  4. Hell, I hope they win the WS, while a good team they've had an incredible number of things work out perfectly - Wade Miley? Are you kidding me? I hope Brewers fans appreciate what's happening because, there's a slim to none chance it'll happen again in their lifetime. It'll be fun next pre-season-season when everyone dismisses the Cubs and talks Brewers, Brewers while the Cubs quietly get healthy, sign Harper and blow away the NL Central.
  5. As you alluded to the Cubs are stuck with him, relative to his statistics he was historically bad last this season. Wouldn't be surprised if bounces back with at least an average season, for him, which would a marked improvement. Darvish, Chatwood and Morrow all blew up this season, I think its a pretty safe bet one of them will have a good 2019.
  6. Being held to 1 run or less runs 40 or whatever the horsefeathers times seems like a statiscal anomaly, it won't happen again. A statistical anomaly is definitely not 25% Ok, bet you $1.00 it doesn't happen next season.
  7. That is terrifying Bryant would never say it if his shoulder was actually a problem. But if this is what he is from now on then yeah, we're toast. Unless its injury, players as good and young as Kris Bryant don't instantly become medicore to bad, Cub or no Cub. This is an overaction, I looked at Bryant' stats - he's really, really good - without question he played hurt this season. It was evident today, look at his follow through on his swing.
  8. That is terrifying I believe he's trying to avoid making excuses, he's going to come back with a vengeance in 2019.
  9. People still won't face the fact the Brewers are good i've been like the leader of the "actually, the brewers are good" brigade for like 5 months They are good however, do really believe their starting pitching is going to be good enough to win a WS?
  10. Being held to 1 run or less runs 40 or whatever the horsefeathers times seems like a statiscal anomaly, it won't happen again.
  11. i give them credit for the 95 wins and having a great season, but i don't really think that roster deserves to win a world series, and it would be annoying to see them do it Their bullpen may be WS caliber, starters not, what'll probably happen, if they go far, is bullpen will be over used. Eventually costing them.
  12. Thanks. It's fair to not understand it, but I just got really fatigued with this season. I just was not at all enjoying any of this. There were seasons when Sammy was on roids and hitting 60 dongs and we didn't go to the playoffs that were a lot more fun. And that's crazy to say. I accept being judged for this and also ridiculed. I'm just being honest with how I feel. Imagine taking this (and adding in that this was a 95 win team) and sending it to youself in 2012 or something. I honestly thing a lot of the doom and gloomers here enable each other and make things out to be horrific all the time. Now, September and everything after it was disgusting, but this team is still pretty damn good. I hope we get Harper and non-dumb managers and coaches out of this. Without question, I strongly suspect they'll heal in the offseason, make some moves and fly under the radar so to speak while everyone else goes gaga over the Brewers in 2019. Then come on to blow the NL Central away.
  13. Yes but, what can one do when you've got to get a shoutout to win? This no hitting in post season [expletive] is growing tiresome, shouldn't be happening as often as it has.
  14. Something good HAS to come of this, this [expletive] burns the Cubs all the time.
  15. Doesn't appear to have been hit all that hard, it's going to be all Freeland, Freeland, really any pitcher was going to shutdown the Cubs tonight.
  16. if looking a the next series but, these guys couldn't hit a softball pitcher right now.
  17. I was confident Lester would give the Cubs a QS, was hoping the offense might show up.
  18. This impotent offense [expletive] started early, game 2 of the season where every Marlin scrub mowed them down for 17 innings.
  19. To be fair, Freeland ranks up there amongst the best in terms of soft contact, but yea, the offense is pure horsefeathers Give him credit yes but, when it happens over and over, where pitcher X has somehow made the perfect pitch all season - can't always credit "excellent" picthing.
  20. Is it a case of everyone trying too hard now? Maybe we'll see some crappy hit or play will open the floodgates.
