  1. Geez 1 game and we're already convincing ourselves the Bears aren't going to be good this year? Don't get me wrong, last week was very discouraging but I'm not ready to give up on the team yet. We saw Tribusky make the same mistakes, this is what has me down on them and, as you said, is very discouraging.
  2. Even that numb-nuts managed to help his team win a playoff game.
  3. I'm guessing everyone's picking the Broncos, I do not have much faith the Bears are going to turn it around. Heard something on the Score last night apparently, the Packers spent most of the night in a "dime" package, one of the ways to attack this formation is running the ball. Wouldn't any good offensive coach recognize this and accordingly adjust? In an attempt to make Mitch a pocket passer I'm thinking the Broncos are going try the same thing or something similar. If Nagy' worth anything he'd better make adjustments and exploit what the D is giving them.
  4. Think we'll see a bunch of running in an attempt to take the ball out of Mitch' hands? I hope it would be to balance the offense and get more touches to Montgomery and especially Cohen. Either way you phrase it, the result should be the same. Worst possible outcome for week 1, Bears lose, offense is terrible, Mitch is worse and everyone else in the NFC North wins. Might be a bit melodramtic to say but, they must win in Denver. On a side note - I've read quite a bit about Mitch only looking in the direction he's going to throw, wouldn't looking off your target be QB 101? Why is Mitch unable to do so?
  5. Think we'll see a bunch of running in an attempt to take the ball out of Mitch' hands?
  6. I believe you're correct, for me it's 0%, its never going to happen, we'll get flashes but, never consistency. And to think I had thoughts the offense was going to take off, GB for all the defensive improvement, still left receivers open all over the place. Mitch will not ever see them.
  7. how good is GB's Dline anticipated to be? Was last night a harbinger of our Olines season ahead, or GB's Dline? They definitely sunk a lot of resources into improving it. This is an improved Packers D, and assuming Rodgers was also just dealing from the rust of no preseason as well, this Packers team will compete for the division crown again. It's improved however, there were plenty of openings to be exploited, average to good QB play would have put way more than 3 points on the scoreboard.
  8. If Trubisky continues to play poorly in Denver is it time to bench him?
  9. Hell on the last series he had a massive gain up the seam in the middle wide open, I'd say there's at least 30 other QB's who hit that pass.
  10. It’s been more than one game Right but I thought he showed flashes last year and was hoping to see some sort of leap this year. There was a leap but not in the right direction Defense does not deserve this garabage play at QB.
  11. It’s been more than one game I agree, same old, same old, missed looks, missed wide open recievers, its getting real tiresome. It's tragic because the defense is and is going to be awesome.
  12. I know it sounds fucked up but, I keep thinking that last season, Rodgers while, hurt, wasn't quite as bad as he was acting. He went out of his way to show up the "new" Bears and unfortunately, it worked.
  13. It's just too perfect for them not to take Hachimura, he'll fit nicely with Hucthinson and Valentine. All three of them are the same player.
  14. See what Memphis wants for Conley or hope Reddish is there. I can't wait for them to draft a player based on how well they get back on defense. They're going to end up drafting Rui Hachimura whom, I believe, is ovverated, that'll be the cherry on top of the whole useless 2018-2019 tank.
  15. Worst possible outcome for the Bulls, now what? Trade down for multiple picks?
  16. My hot, maybe not so hot, take is this draft pretty much sucks. It’s a bunch of role players/2nd-4th best players on a championship team at best (even Zion and Morant) and the media/narrative around it is trying to push guys to be things they likely aren’t at the NBA level because there always needs to be a GUY or GUYS taken high. Agreed. There's a bunch of "someone's eventually gonna have to pay a max contract to a guy who's not REALLY a max contract guy" guys in this one. That about sums it up, if the Bulls end up 4, 5, 6 or 7 they're left with a Hunter, Garland, Culver or Reddish, etc. none of them anything special.
  17. Expect the worse, hope for the best. Regarding impact, potential game changing players, does this draft boil down to 2 players? Maybe, for those not so convinced of Williamson' potential, even 1 player?
  18. Oh god is that gonna be painful BB/WP extravaganza.
  19. Good to see the Duke MO of the other team failing to execute finally caught up with them, was anyone else finding the constant narrative about Zion Williamson' greatness tiresome? Glad that' over although, I'm certain CBS will find a way to talk him about next weekend despite his team not being in the Final Four. MSU may be facing, a team in Texas Tech, that's better than Duke, would not be surprised if Texas Tech wins that game. One might say whomever wins that game will win on Monday night. On the other side of the bracket, while I don't hold it against the Auburn kids, them making the Final Four with perhaps, the dirtiest, greasiest, piece of horsefeathering horsefeathers as a HC exemplifies all that' wrong with the business of college basketball.
  20. UMFan what happened? I had them in the FF, thought they were clearly the best team in the West, did not think they'd have much trouble advancing. Guess TT' defense was a big factor along with an off shooting night. Texas Tech is playing great basketball for about the last 6 weeks. Well they've been good all year but are on another level lately. Barttorvik.com shows that they have played like the 2nd best team in basketball since mid-February (michigan was 1 whoops). They were the one team I was really worried about in their bracket. I think their defensive system of keeping the middle clear was a horrible matchup for Michigan and they played right into their hands. It doesn't help that they had a horrific shooting night even when they got open looks and that the defense didn't play up to par in the 2nd half. Michigan with the right matchups could have won the title but I think most Michigan fans had concern that a game like this was going to pop up at the wrong time. The offense has been average (relative to other top 10 teams) but has had long periods in games where they've struggled to score. They had one of those games at the wrong time against the best or 2nd best defense in college basketball. Michigan should return everyone relevant from this year's team save probably Charles Matthews and will be adding a top 50 SF to replace him that can shoot probably better than everyone on the current team and create his own offense. Barttorvik (using this site again its great), they are projecting Michigan to be the number 1 team in CBB next year. I agree with your points, checked the site, it's predicting significant improvement of the Illini, perhaps, a bubble team. Hopefully, after next season, making the tournament is a given, it should be for a program like the Illini.

  22. To pour salt on the wound: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.fcgi?id=minormi01&t=p&year=2018 What a second, isn't Joe into advanced metrics and what not? If so, why isn't Schwarber at DH?
  23. who the horsefeathers cares about spring? Moreover, whenever has a spring training wiz, such Zagunis, carried that success over to the regular season?
  24. If I were managing for my job or like I cared I'd find a way to construct a better lineup.
  25. What's the over/under on the total number of weak GB's from Heyward, Zagunis, Almora and Bote? 12?
