Back-to-back good games for the first time ever? This is how starts one good performance, followed by another and another and on.

All in all, not too bad, Fields didn't get hurt, he played well, they rolled up points and yards vs. a very good defense. Fields has played fairly well in consecutive games against two of the better defenses in the NFL. There's no excuse for Poles not to inject a large amount of offensive talent in the upcoming offseason. He's got all tools at his disposal, draft capital and money; he better not overspend on defense.

The 2023 WR Free Agent class doesn't look all that strong, WR is either going to be addressed with the draft, trade or most likely both. I like the Ridley idea, could be something Poles may get heat for that'll turn out well. Yeah, it really depends on how he approaches this offseason. He probably planned on making incremental improvements next year to be ready to make big splashes in 2024. But with 135Mil or whatever, he can't really build thru the draft for multiple years like he wants. We only have 1 offseason of extremely conservative moves and Ridley would definitely be a risky move based on his suspension and potential rustiness. Wasn't the past off season one of extremely conservative moves? At the very least, both lines must be addressed in a big way this next offseason. Appears that's possible with the draft and FA.

The name that keeps going thru my head is Calvin Ridley. Obviously more of an offseason move, but I wonder A) what it would take and B) if Poles would even make that dice roll. Ridley is probably the best way to get a really good WR without giving up a super high pick. There's literally 0 in free agency that are as productive as he was a couple years ago. He's due 9Mil for his 5th year option. Falcons were close to dealing him to Philly before his suspension was announced, so he'll be going somewhere. I'd imagine he'd be treated similarly to like a Robert Woods, who coming off a missed year w/ an ACL tear went for like a 5th and 6th or something. I wouldn't expect Ridley would cost much more than that. He's going to be almost 2 years removed by his next game. And he's also going to be 28 so not a spring chicken (he was almost Velus age when drafted). For the Bears, he'd provide a competent WR. He also probably wouldn't cost an immediate contract extension, which is an issue with Mooney likely getting an extension this offseason. He has the incentive to let his play on the field earn his next contract in line with the elite WRs. The Bears would be able to franchise tag him in 2024 and then let him walk at 30, with Mooney's big numbers starting to kick in and hopefully a draft pick performing well. But I wonder if Poles would add a guy that was suspended for a year for gambling. Seems to be a big image guy and IDK if he'd want Ridley on an otherwise pretty young roster. But man, I think the prospect cost and the financial obligation would make him a spectacular value if you can get him on the field. I like the trade as well, load up on the draft picks, a 4th isn't bad, maybe a tad low, was thinking a 3rd nevertheless, get as much draft capital as possible. With draft capital and a likely top 5 pick I could see Poles trading down to address OL, WR, DE and possibly TE with multiple high picks. Beyond a doubt there's going to be a massive influx of offense talent next offseason.

You mean like Fields was protected when he got speared in the back and sandwiched by the Patriots?

As a side not I did kind of enjoy Pennell' blind side block of the Patriots' C, without question the [expletive] tried to hurt Fields on the Herbert TD. Plus, Mac Jones kicking Brisker in balls, that wasn't an "accident" or "unfortunate". It's nice to see dirty, cheap shot artists get a little taste of their own medicine once in a while.

Certainly, appears this coaching is a complete 180 from the previous in that they're capable of making adjustments, putting players in a position to succeed. Can't help but think what's possible with a fairly large influx of talent in 2023.

Do not care about the score just would like to see consecutive good games from Fields. Last night adjustments were made to the scheme in an effort to put Fields in a position to succeed. Gives hope for what may come when Fields is surrounded by better offensive talent in 2023.

Well horsefeathers me dead as the Australians would say, who the hell saw that coming? I know the Bears are bad, and the spread along with the thought this was going to be a blowout was a reflection of this terrible Bears team. After watching, it's not like this Patriots team is good in fact, they're not much better than the Bears.

Regarding the C position there's no guy on the practice squad or even, off the streets they can sign? Too bad Kramer got hurt, would have been a big improvement over Mustipher.

I've seen that on multiple occasions from him, really, there's no other C on the roster? And, how many yards was Fields out of bounds on that last play 5? Took a cheap shot.

He talks about tiring of hearing we're so close but, makes bad play after bad play, the pass to Mooney was poorly thrown and that interception is on him. Had someone wide open.

Appears to me that Rodgers is experiencing some of the same issues as our Justin Fields - shoddy pass blocking OL (they did OK vs Washington though), receivers getting open but unable to catch the ball - as a result he's not looking so MVP'ish. Can happen to anyone not just Bears' QB's.

Belichick wants the Bears to keep Velus Jones as the punt returner, and why wouldn't he want them to be duped into thinking he's dangerous (to the opposition)? He's dropped what, 2 of 6, or so, punts? I'd say Belichick is thinking that's an easy TO, I do not believe the Bears are going comply, at least, not on Monday night. I'm guessing they might give him a shot their next game at an indoor facility, if at all.

He was terrible, unfortunately aspect was, given the Bears razor thin margin for error, every mistake is magnified. Do not know of the politics involved with itemizing all of his mistakes. However, it's no secret he sucked. Now, on to benching Pettis and Mustipher.

Maybe Fuller doesn't check the speed box for Poles? Don't believe he checks the size box. At this point Fields needs someone who can just catch the horsefeathering ball, screw size or speed.
