  1. I take much of the Fields talk with a grain of salt, he had a coach and offensive scheme that did not put him a position to succeed. By doing so it set him up for failure, making it easy to take shots at him. Let's see how he does with a coaching staff that knows what the horsefeathers they're doing.
  2. I know having success with super stars is scaring some off Leftwich but, I think there's a stronger case him. Far stronger than say, Hackett, who should be a hard, hard pass, outside of his work with Rodgers there's nothing like what Leftwich did with Winston.
  3. Definitely, I would think finding a C will be priority one for the Bulls this off season. I don't get the lack of effort from him, Grizzlies and other teams getting offensive boards simply because they're working harder. Once in a while we get glimpses of effort from him and it usually turns out well. There was FT attempt in third were he really laid it on that Adams almost knocking him on his ass, why can't that there most of the time?
  4. He's done an admirable job, but I'd still prefer Daboll, and, I've come full circle on Desai. What would the chances be that a Daboll head coach/Desai DC could work? The bears ended up 6th in total yards on D. Me to, if going to error, error on the side of offense, it's all about offense, offense in today's NFL. Daboll is the young, hot candidate with far more evidence of success than Nagy. So, hopefully, the McCaskey' aren't gun shy.
  5. I think Edey is slow and foul prone, he can be had by a mobile big man, I know that's not Kofi's game. However, I do believe, in comparison, he's faster than Edey and a better athlete. We may see more of that the next game perhaps, more so, with a healthy Hawkins than Kofi. The straight post up and bully your way to the basket won't work with Edey.
  6. Philly and the Raiders were the two weakest teams in the playoffs and they're out. I think every remaining team is capable of winning or losing to their opponent and it not be considered a huge upset. I think you misspelled Steelers there. I’d take the Raiders over them for sure. Regardless, just make it three worst teams and that covers it. Without question Steelers were and are the worst of the playoff teams, didn't deserve to be in the playoffs at all, didn't play like a playoff team. Got some inexplicable breaks to beat the Bears, just garbage.
  7. The game I really want the Illini to win and win big is vs. MSU. Lost all respect for Izzo after that goon squad hit on Ayo, dude literally punched him in the face. I may be wrong but, I'm almost certain the goon was allowed to remain in the game nor did he get a flagrant foul. I firmly believe that had repercussions down the line because, Ayo re-aggravated the injury when he got popped in face towards the end of the Big Ten Championship game, he was definitely not 100% for tournament. It was obvious in the Loyola game.
  8. Most definitely looked so much better, hopefully, the post concussion effects are behind him, bigger and better things on the horizon for the Illini. Would not be all that surprised if neither the Illini or Purdue loss another game going into the game on 2/10.
  9. I think the 49ers have a good chance of knocking off GB Would I ever love that. Certainly possible but I don't think so. If I'm a Packer fan the only team that concerns me is TB, the rest of the field doesn't have much of chance in my opinion. And this is OK, I want those pissants to win the SB and Rodgers back at QB when the Bears start beating them, it'll be that much more rewarding.
  10. This sure as horsefeathers sounds like something an even self-proclaimed casual fan of today's NFL would know, no?
  11. Wow, Fields had to be practically decapitated to get a roughing call. Totally. Compared to the hits he took this year, the one in Brady was nothing Not to mention it appears the Eagle defender was pushed into Brady and appears he's was trying to keep Brady from falling rather than hitting him.
  12. Yeah, Steelers - Chiefs will most likely be a blowout as well, on the flip side Cardinals - Rams/Niners - Cowboys have chances to be good games.
  13. It just sucks these key hires are in hands of an ownership that almost always chooses the wrong guy and does the wrong thing basically, immune to getting things correct. I have to think McCaskey has heard this, is pissed off and determined to get it right. Still doesn't fill me with much confidence, let's hope lady luck is in the Bears corner for a change.
  14. Wow, Fields had to be practically decapitated to get a roughing call.
  15. I think thats being probably a little unfair to Mac. That first part could describe any rookie QB. I know he had a high floor low ceiling profile coming in, but I'd say he exceeded those expectations even as a rookie. Obviously his ceiling will be a limit of his mental game rather than physical game, but we can't really discount the mental component. I mean even Brady wasn't that good until what like year 5 or 6? If he's in a system that will generally protect him, he could still be a high ceiling QB. That's probably true, sometimes though you need a QB to make a play or two with his physical abilities that's where Fields is much more attractive.
  16. Did not think the Pats had much of a chance yesterday, was not expecting that kind of a blowout though. Jones strikes me as the type of QB that needs a really strong supporting cast and system, that cast needs to have good games in order for him to succeed so, New England is the perfect place for him. I've seen many harping on the Bears taking Jones but, I still very happy with Fields. It's been rough however, Fields still has all the qualities of potential franchise QB whereas, were seeing pretty close to Jones' ceiling.
  17. I'm not worried about multiple teams being hot for Daboll perhaps, for the first time ever, the Bears are the pick of the litter, the job everyone wants. While Fields doesn't have Allen' arm or size he's probably a little faster than Allen, I really liked what I saw of Daboll' offense yesterday, most especially against a well coached opponent with a top defense. I look upon Bears - Packers being similar to Bills - Patriots, Bills are starting to flip the cycle, think the Bears have chance to do that in near future.
  18. Has Big Ten officiating gotten worse? They tried like hell to had MSU the game today, so many terrible calls, but, you still lost Izzo.
  19. I know Zach going out is a big downer but, they're not even making an effort out there, ESPN announcers creaming in their pants over Igoudala' steals. Hell, I could make those plays when the balls being thrown to me to.
  20. Thanks for sharing. Interesting to read about some of the stuff we've wondered about for years. What a disaster organization lol. That said all it takes is the right hires at GM and coach and a lot of the issues are irrelevant Nagy is/was obviously terrible, there must have been some evidence of his deficiencies prior to hire? No? Really, does lend credence to the belief that Nagy was brilliant in the interview room but, unfortunately, not so much where it really counted - in the football room. If so much weight is put on the interview as opposed to the body of work I do not know if they'll get it correct. Why can't McCaskey just be removed from the equation?
  21. I thought so as well, to be fair, the officials were allowing Nebraska to do just about anything they wanted to him, pushing, holding, hitting him in the face, takes its toll after a while. I thought Curbelo had lost it when he was screaming at the officials in the second half, now I know why - Apparently that idiot did the same horsefeathers in 1st half when Frazier missed a FT, bush league [expletive].
  22. That's awesome, he is not the right hire for the Bears, hard pass for the Bears.
  23. Guess it amounts to getting the GM correct, the right hire there will be able to find the right coach.
  24. Yes, this, not firing Nagy, was one of the parts McCaskey had to get right, there's hope.
  25. Love, in his few opportunities, hasn’t really shown much. If AR leaves and they go with Love, they’ll need an experienced backup. AR will have to decide if he wants to be the highest paid player in the league or one of the highest. If he demands to be the highest paid, gonna make it tough for GB to retain many of their key players. Wasn’t that the point of his whole press conference - that he more or less didn’t need to be the highest paid but wanted the Packers to retain the good players? I don’t see him leaving GB I want Rogers to stay a Packer, when the Bears start beating them I want him at QB. I'd say the Packers are as close to a one man football team as will ever see, they really are impotent without him. Don't know if you could say that about the Bucs without Brady or Chiefs without Mahomes nevertheless, stay a Packer Aaron Rodgers.
