  1. You're probably correct however, McCaskey' blind spot when it comes to Pace may still horsefeathers things up, they've chance to get it right I hope they do.
  2. Apparently, McCaskey has a blind spot when it comes to Pace, he cannot see what's plainly visible - Pace is terrible at building a roster. Sure, he's had some late round success but, as mentioned above any Tom, Dick and Harry GM can make the same claim. His initial solution to QB this season was Andy Dalton, that's the best he could do, that alone should have got him fired.
  3. I know Wisconsin' pretty good, but, holy horsefeathers Iowa is terrible and it's awesome. Love what the Illini did to Maryland tonight on D first half, Maryland got some calls, took advantage of poor defensive play by the Illini guards, second half the Illini put and end to Scott' and Ayala' success. Scott had 15 at the half, 2 the rest of the game, think it was Williams who clamped down on him. It was nice to see the Illini kick their asses the second half and finally put them away.
  4. Don't think for minute Nagy isn't secretly tickled pink he gets to start his boy, Andy, for his last game as the Bears HC. He''ll also start Peters at left tackle, have Burns take most if not all the snaps from Graham Jr., etc., no sense in getting pissed about it now. It's the last time he's ever going to get to do this crap, I take comfort in that fact.
  5. I don't know why but my guess is they will take their sweet ole' time restructuring. Make perfect sense, if it's counter-intuitive, against the grain of common sense, the Bears will follow that path down the road of stupidity. It's their way.
  6. I'd sure like to see Fields light it up, there will be limitations, Nagy' coaching, lack of receivers who can make a play on a ball, etc. but, him putting up some big time numbers would sure be encouraging going into 2022. I was watching a little of the Packers and Vikings Sunday night, I noticed not every ball Rogers throws is perfect, in fact a few were downright shitty however, he's got a guy in Adams who's able to go up and grab those crappy passes. This it what Justin needs, maybe it'll be Mooney, they've definitely got a find a play maker at receiver.
  7. I admit I haven't been paying much attention so far. Is Curbelo going to take a red shirt at this point or is he still hoping to be able to play this year? The rules this year are a bit different, due to everyone getting a free eligibility year for last year. Anyone who plays in any game can't get a redshirt, so there's no chance of it this year for Curbelo. They're being super careful with him, because they rushed him back earlier just to play terrible for 2 games and lose both almost solely due to his play, which was clearly impeded by his condition. Good news is that he's joining the shootaround and practicing with the team now, so a return is imminent if tthere are no further setbacks. Sounded encouraging, hopefully, he'll return with no more side effects and be the dynamic PG we saw last year. Given how Minnesota played vs. Michigan thought the Illini might be for a tough game but, the guard play of the Illini is much better than Michigan and Minnesota doesn't have the height or mass to contend with Kofi, the Gophers really didn't have a chance. They have played like crap against Maryland in the past, that's true. If they continue to play like last night I think their chances against Maryland are pretty good.
  8. Isn't it sad that's a real possibility?
  9. It's probably for the best, I'm thinking only more harm than good can result from Fields playing for Nagy. Let Nagy get off on doing what he's wanted to do all year, play Dalton and his other worthless veterans hopefully, there's only 7 more quarters left in his Bears head coaching career.
  10. And here I thought Michigan had a fairly decent chance tonight, really did. Could it be the old heat and humidity plus SEC team with speed curse again?
  11. With any luck, about this time next Monday hopefully we will see reports trickle in that Nagy is out and won't coach the 17th game of the season. For most any other team that's plausible and makes perfect sense for our highly dysfunctional Bears? Not too sure, I'm not even confident Nagy' going to be fired at all, for that matter. It's entirely possible the McCaskey' may still do something really, really, really stupid.
  12. My thoughts as well, sure does seem like those dipshits have a case of the drops when Fields is the QB in any case, my real issue is with them playing at all. Players like Graham and Byrd will soon be ex-Bears, there's absolutely no reason whatsoever to play them. Sure Graham Jr. got beat for a TD, so what? He could be part of the next good Bears' team, got to find out what you have, him alternating snaps with another soon to be ex-Bear Burns serves no purpose. That BS Nagy-Dusty Baker sprouted about doing what's in the best interest of Bears was clearly BS, so, so, ready for him to be a former HC of the Bears.
  13. As I understand a big part of the Packers scheme is getting Adams open via picks does anyone know if picks are big part of the Chiefs and Rams schemes as well? Whereas our wonderful Bears do a lot of curl routes this and Robinson, when he has played, being terrible, may account for a lack of open WR's.
  14. https://twitter.com/PFF_Anthony/status/1473288086767509506?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Etweet I agree that at this point its stupid to get angry about Graham not playing until now because this staff will be gone, but it still frustrates me because I was so high on him coming out of the draft and couldn't understand why he wasn't playing. You can say its just one game, but it wasn't like he played decent or good, he had a legit terrific game. Jaylen and Graham as the CBs of the next 4-5 years sounds appealing. When you consider guys like Crawford, who did not appear to know that those guys lined up wide are receivers and it might be a good idea to try and cover them, played in his place, its even more frustrating. In addition to all his of short comings Nagy also has Dusty Baker qualities in that he prefers to play veterans regardless of how much they suck. He'll always defer to them, I'm convinced he wanted to go with Dalton all along and was ordered to start Fields.
  15. So, what does McCaskey need to right? I believe he needs to get one thing correct - President of Football Operations or whatever the position is called. Hire a football guy to do the football work, if McCaskey can get this right everything GM, HC, etc. should flow from that point.
  16. Agree on Jenkins, there was a play, think it may been a Fields scramble, where he mauled Barr, knocking him to ground, Barr got up a little gimpy looking around like what the horsefeathers was that? Loved it. I was big on Kmet however, he has really disappointed, too many drops, don't know if he's worth another try with a hopefully, a competent staff, or not. As for Graham, to answer why he's not played and people like Xavier Crawford have played? Look no further Nagy, he's completely and wholly incompetent in every facet of football, incapable of seeing a potentially decent player right under his nose.
  17. Lol, Cousins saying how great their defense was, what did they do? Let the Bears self-destruct nearly every time they had the ball? That's great defense? If any defense played great tonight it sure as horsefeathers wasn't the Vikings, it was far and away the Bears who played great on defense.
  18. Will be officially eliminated if that worth anything. One more week til the official interviewing thing and a short week. Does McCaskey keep holding on? But, but, the Bears have NEVER fired a coach in season, why break with whatever that represents?
  19. Really, neither of these teams are good, the Vikings playing a physically and intellectually crippled team, needed phantom penalty calls to score. They're going to get smacked by the Rams and Packers, wouldn't be surprised by if the Bears beat them in Minnesota.
  20. Will it though? There’s a reason the Bears have been mostly terrible since the early 90s I honestly don’t know. I don’t know how it could be more clear than right now. Well of course it is, to the world, except to the people who are capable of making changes. Hell, it was horsefeathering crystal clear after last season.
  21. Will it though? There’s a reason the Bears have been mostly terrible since the early 90s That's the concern, I'm convinced they're incapable of recognizing what's needed and we see the results.
  22. And to think 3 more games of this feebleness known as Nagy coaching, can't they just forfeit them thereby allowing McCaskey to fire him?
  23. I beginning to think it's something to do with Justin Fields maybe, he shouldn't have said anything in Pittsburgh about getting a call once in a while.
  24. Can someone with more football knowledge than me tell me how a team in the Bears situation benefits from not going for it on that 4th down?
  25. Again a shot to Fields head, why isn't Nagy getting the zebras' horsefeathers like he was on that nonsense called on Bush?
