With the upgrade at QB would not be surprising if one of Scott or Jones Jr. emerges or appears to be competent. Think we're seeing some of Williams positive effective with Scott already, don't believe he was ever much of presence during last season' training camp, this year he's much more of a factor in camp.

Don't mind the trade at all, Morel, for all of his joy/excitement, is not an everyday player and he doesn't have a position. At the very least, Paredes can play a competent 3B.

I’ve come accept the fact that Morel is not an everyday player, he’s a bench/depth player on a good team. Unfortunately, it took a lost season to learn this.

Canario’ not going to fetch much, I really doubt his trade value was ever high, other teams have data on him and know he’s limited. He’s throw in or add on to another deal. -
As I mentioned, was at the game Tuesday, got a Nico Horner pin, and saw a bad team - the Cubs - on the bad end of the luck spectrum. And a mediocre team - the Brewers - on the good end of the luck spectrum.

I’d like to believe the Cubs would be serious contenders for Soto. That’s as far as goes, in actuality, after the Dodgers do not win the WS, they’re going to sign Soto and backload his contract until the mid 22nd century.

I wonder if he has a legitimate chance at the next level? Do his peripherals suggest he has a shot? I know Mervis' and Canario' peripherals imply they both have little to no chance at being an effective major league ballpalyer, hopefully, it's different for Ballesteros. -

Why did Mastrobuoni swing? Despite the calls by the umpire, Thompson hasn't thrown too many strikes, no reason to swing at all.

Nice way to end a very successful road trip, 5-2, could have been 6-1. I'll take back the Morel hate for one game, who knows, maybe, this starts a heater for him. He's certainly due. It was also great they finally took it to Mikolas.

At the moment Morel has little to no trade value, he can't catch or hit the ball, don't know what else there is when it comes to baseball.

Morel was removed from the field, next is removal from the lineup, even though it's a lost cause I'd like to see Canario get a shot at DH today. He'll just strike out instead of the Morel multiple outs in single at bat special. Hell, just do it to change something up, waiting out Busch has turned well but, it's time to cut the string with Morel.

Nothing's a kick in the balls to a winning streak like a Hendricks start. Might as well look forward to sweeping the weekend or, taking 2 of 3, as Lynn and Mikolas both suck and, since we're talking about regression to the mean. The Cubs are overdue to lay one on the garbage that is Miles Mikolas.
