  1. The replay, seeing his lower leg being bent a right angle is cringe worthy.
  2. Just saw talk Tua coming back after week 8. What is he, one more hit away from living the rest of his life with mush for a brain? At the very least, he should strongly consider a Guardian Cap even though, as I understand, specialists and quarterbacks have not been given the go on them. I would think an exception can be made for Tua.
  3. Thought Rattler made a few decent throws, agree Maye was solid.
  4. So, yes, the Bears have taken advantage of some weak teams and beat up on them. The Lions did as well, at the moment, are the Cowboys any better than the Jaguars? They're better than the Panthers, though, not by much. I'm pretty confident the Bears could go into Dallas and handle the Cowboys, probably not the way the Lions did but, still, handle them.
  5. The unfortunate part is I believe Justin knew where the hot read is but, he's unable to overcome to the physical barrier of game speed. I think he's aware of it and it must drive him horsefeathers nuts. There's one thing I was fairly certain of when Poles drafted Caleb - that he'd be able to handle the speed of the NFL game, getting through the progressions etc. I knew this because the QB he signed, Bagent, doesn't have the problems with the game's speed, not like Justin. Signing Bagent that told me Poles knows what to look for in a QB.
  6. Because of, I guess, a general slowness, one could say Fields never gave the play calling, etc. no chance.
  7. Defensively they're solid, Darnold has a big time regression coming so, I could see such logic.
  8. I didn't get it either, Purdue QB is awful, nearly threw two interceptions in the second half, they were getting wide open on simple backyard football stuff. Even a terrible QB will connect when the receiver has no one within 20 yards of him. I'll add that Purdue got away with some blatant holding, on their big QB scramble Purdue lineman had Illini d-lineman hooked around the throat, thought certain it was going to get called. Nevertheless, the game being close was completely the fault of the Illini.
  9. I'll take the Illini winning a game they probably should have lost, just decided to quit playing after getting up 27-3. Purdue deserves some credit, it was more the Illini taking the rest of the game off than it was anything Boilers did.
  10. Sucks the Dodgers won, Darvish was very good, didn't think the Padres would turn into the 2015 Cubs vs the Mets the last two games of the series. We'll see if the Dodgers' pen can hold out, my guess is they'll make it to the WS before it blows up.
  11. horsefeathers the Dodgers, I enjoy watching the Padres kick their asses and rub their faces in it. I'd also like the Dodgers losing to see their off season. It'll be interesting to view what "creative" financing they'll employ to sign every viable FA pitcher Burnes, et. al. and, Juan Soto.
  12. Probably would be OK if Terrell Smith wasn't out as well.
  13. Regardless of what level of defense they're playing against we're seeing things of Williams that an NFL QB needs to be successful. It's on film, undeniable, all there, it's really encouraging and about horsefeathers time!!!
  14. In some aspects it's like the NCAA tournament match-ups, match-ups, just keep getting there until the match-up dominoes fall in your favor.
  15. While their defense is legitimate, I feel Darnold' play is unsustainable, there's a reason he's a journey-man QB. It'll be interesting to see how Caleb handles their blitzes, I suspect some will succeed but, some won't, and Caleb will burn them. No more deer in the headlights against the blitz QBing for the Vikings to exploit.
  16. Guess I skipped ahead, Lions - Vikings is a week 7 match up.
  17. No NFL week 6 thread so I'll talk about Lions - Vikings here, wouldn't surprise me if the Lions blow the doors off the Vikings next week. Watched the highlights of Jets - Vikings, that game was definitely more of Aaron Rodgers being bad than is was the Vikings being good. Darnold is going to regress and Jets game may have been the start - 14-31-179-0TD-1INT, rating of 50.3.
  18. Heck yeah, right now, he's better than Jalen Carter and it's not close. Before the trade for Sweat last season, when he played, Dexter was drawing double teams, I thought that was a good sign of his potential.
  19. I'll give Poles credit for recognizing Young would have problems, if I recall, he did his due diligence with scouting, etc. However, there was never a chance the Bears were going to trade Fields and draft Young.
  20. Vilma was falling all over himself about Bryce Young eventually being good. Don't know about that point. I understand NFL linemen are monsters and all, Young still looks tiny out there, even smaller than Kyler Murray. Murray, at least, appears strong and thick. Young may have all the other tools however, he's never going to overcome the physical barrier.
  21. Yes, was glad to see him get up and, the flag, still don't understand why the NFL has let Fields be the recipient of so many flag-free cheap shots.
  22. But, but, but the coaching, granted the Caleb and the Bears took advantage of a banged up defense. Fields is facing a far lesser version of the Cowboys defense and has done nothing.
  23. I was thinking more towards the last quarter of the season, so week 15 would certainly qualify.
  24. I believe the issues above will soon disappear, I've seen hot takes regarding the superiority of the Loins, Vikings and Packers. We'll here's one for the Bears - in time, Caleb will be the best QB in the NFC North.
