    They aren't. The only thing making the Bears job the most attractive and the only thing that matters is Caleb. Next HC gets to work with, help nurture, a potential super star QB in one of the NFL's biggest markets, with one of it's founding teams. All those rumors, criteria, innuendo, etc. is media tabloid bull horsefeathers. Saw a little bit of video with that horsefeathers Lombardi idiot. Although, he was correct about the Bears needs to address both lines, he was way off on trying to justify any of the Raiders, Jets', Saints' or Cowboys' jobs as more attractive than the Bears' job.

    I like Pat Bryant, WR, Illinois, later rounds, for the Bears, could be a replacement for Allen.

    Beyond a doubt, McCaskey had no intention of firing him. I give Poles and Warren credit for getting it done, maybe, they used some magic words that would have offended Virginia.

    They may be replacement level players on defense but, at least, they were balls to walls aggressive. Trying to make something happen instead laying back playing not to lose. Probably won't work against QB's who can better handle blitzes, might get burned a few times.

    Hope they do win, might make it easier for Johnson to move on, preferably, to the Bears.

    Any of those three will probably work out, no doubt all of them are a major step up from Eberflus. Of course, that's a very low bar nevertheless, believe all three of them are above that bar.

    Agree, right now appears chances of success are fairly decent with Ben Johnson and, to a lesser extent, Joe Brady.

    Probably. Caleb and Rome realizing their potentials? I'll take my chances vs. the NFC North. That's the exciting part, as previously mentioned, it's not - "well, if Mitch or Justin can take a step forward...", it's - "with the right coaching and cleaning up some things Caleb' going to explode". Not so certain about the greatness of Dan Campbell, so far, at least once, it appears he's capable of picking good assistants. If he loses Johnson and Glenn can he do it again? If so, then the Lions will probably continue to be good.

    Saw a little bit of the Herd regarding the attractiveness of the Bears job relative to other openings, they deemed the Bears job the most attractive with the caveat of dealing with the young rosters of GB and Detroit plus the best HC in the Vikings' McConnell. I say horsefeathers them all, you get the correct HC/Coaching Staff and Caleb' the best QB in the NFC North, I'll take that over anything at GB, DET or MINN.

    He'll definitely clean up Caleb' footwork and look to maximize his quick release, that'll form a lethal, nearly unstoppable offense.

    It's got to be OL or DL with the first rounder, I think even Poles is aware of this need. Maybe look at a RB with their third rounder? They got two second rounders to further spend on the OL or DL which ever one they didn't grab in the first.

    Me to, just get Johnson from the Lions, who gives a horsefeathers if you have to potentially wait until Februray. My guess is he has already pretty good idea of the Bears roster.

    Beyond terrible coaching the constant has been bad, flawed QB's, Caleb has shown he's different. Maybe, that'll help break the cycle.

    Hate to say this but, I hope the Lions win the Super Bowl, might make it easier for the Bears to hire away Ben Johnson. I know the last time the Bears hired a hot shot OC was Nagy and we know how that turned out. Johnson is probably more legit, he's not working with Mahomes and Reid, not that Goff is terrible, he's not Mahomes. A legit, good HC in Ben Johnson + Caleb means the Lions, Vikings and Packers better beat the Bears now while they still can. Then again, who am I kidding? The Bears will probably somehow horsefeathers it up.

I would never want to see any player hurt because of a hit I put on them, especially one that was ruled ‘late’ or ‘unnecessary.’” - putting quotes around late and unnecessary makes me question the sincerity, I believe he did it to save his ass from the above suspension.

    I'm fairly certain many are thinking the Bears are going to roll over and 49ers are going to get "well". Wouldn't be shocked if its the other way around, in any case, this game is certainly more winnable now than when scheduled first dropped.

    Along with Daniels, irritating, ultimately, Caleb will the best of bunch, glad the Bears took the the best QB.

    I would think so as well. Yes, he made a great trade that resulted in potentially the best Bears QB in our lifetimes. He's also horsefeathered up a ton - drafting Velus Jones, neglecting the OL and DL lines, trading for Claypool, signing Davis, retaining Eberflus for 2024, etc. - it's not like he's got some sterling great resume.

    As long as they get it right I don't care who makes the decision, does Poles getting the final say guarantee correct hire?

    All logic and common sense speaks to such a conclusion. But, it is the Bears so, you never know.
