  1. Do the Nuggets have the assets? In this case the Bulls can and should hold for a big time return, LaVine is playing pretty well, no reason the Bulls shouldn't ask the world for him.
  2. Had they gone 9-8 there's a good chance Eberflus would have improved as a coach, 9-8 doesn't happen with the version of Eberflus that got him canned. But, alas, Eberflus didn't learn from his mistakes and never attempted to improve, although it's a horsefeathers show now, it may ultimately turn out to be a good thing he was terminated. I believe Poles is soon to follow him out the door, a clean GM/HC slate is probably best. Although it's the Bears doing the hiring nevertheless, a clean slate is probably for the best.
  3. I honestly believe the previous coaches didn't like the QB's because they sucked, the new HC will like Caleb.
  4. Yeah, I'd go with Bagent to close out the season,
  5. This season is a wash, beyond the health of Caleb there's nothing to be taken away from this offense. Next season is a reset and we can only hope it's one with a competent HC. On the subject of HC's and all of Ben Johnson' supposed demands, on one hand, I can see trying to meet them in order to hire him. On the hand I'm thinking horsefeathers him and his demands, Kingsburry could come in and vastly improve this team' offense and Caleb probably without a bunch of organizational demands, extraneous horsefeathers.
  6. I'd really like to know why Sweat was called for roughing the passer while that Vikings dickhead who laid out Caleb in front of an official wasn't flagged. Doesn't matter all much in the game' outcome but, the health of Caleb is the concern.
  7. There's no question Williams to Odunze will be a thing IF the Bears stumble upon the right coaches. Rome has the potential to be receiver everyone fears, talks about, etc. better than St. Brown or anyone else on the Lions, better than anyone on the Packers, better than anyone beyond Jefferson on the Vikings. The ingredients are there just need the right chef.
  8. Currently, there's nothing to support asking for a kings' ransom on the Marlins side. If the Marlins keep him and he pitches well going into the trade deadline well, that's another story.
  9. I'm fairly certain Kliff Kingsbury, Joe Brady or Ben Johnson would notice.
  10. This coupled with a trade for Luzardo and the Cubs are finally acting like the big market team they are, ready to eliminate the rest of the NL Central. I like it.
  11. Like the Lions they've got to stumble across or luck into good hires, it can be done but, as said, it's going to take some good fortune.
  12. Everyone is thinking the Seahawks game as probably the last reasonable chance the Bears have to win. With their multitude of injuries on defense, ironically, the Lions might be a decent chance at a win. Of course, it would be so Bears to make the present Lions defense look like world beaters.
  13. Was thinking along the same lines, hell, even the Bears could roll up some yards and points on what amounts to an almost pre-season line up on defense for the Lions.
  14. Yeah, I don't know, maybe go no huddle, get Caleb moving and get the ball out quick. It's been nearly every horsefeathers game with one or more OL going down, there may have been one game all season where this didn't happen.
  15. I know Poles has done a poor job but, holy horsefeathers the Bears have to be near the top in players lost to concussions and injuries to the OL. Just another piece of bad luck to pile upon everything else that's gone wrong with the Bears.
  16. Make that 14-0 perhaps, an ass kicking coming up in Detroit?
  17. Lions down 7, Bills get the ball for the second time after scoring on their initial possession. I don't care how "great" of coaches Campbell and Glenn are supposedly, you can't expect to win against quality teams with a defense made up replacement level players. Eventually, the lack of quality players on defense is going to show up.
  18. Most definitely, yes. Letting Poles go after the season is OK with me, watching a little bit Carolina and Dallas, Panthers managed to upgrade and improve their OL in one off season, it can be done. Poles has had multiple seasons and the OL and DL are still problems, I think most any average GM can come in and improve.
  19. I agree, but, I would think, it'd be a surprise if he doesn't end up in LA.
  20. Why can't the Bears just say horsefeathers it and rush 7 or 8, with tight coverage? I'm guessing they'll get burned but, I have think 7 or 8 on 5 might win on a few occasions, get to Darnold and force him into mistakes.
  21. Really, don't care, as long as Caleb gets experience, improves, the outcome of the game is immaterial. In fact a loss is better for the long term, the only annoying aspect will be listening to the MNF staff cream in their pants over the Bears' defense making Darnold look good. Darnold is horsefeathers on stick Viking fans, it'll show up in the playoffs against good defenses who have not checked out.
  22. To me this smacks of let's keep kicking Poles when he's down, there's a whole list of things Poles horsefeathered up. The Sweat trade isn't one of the things on that list.
  23. Ilini lost a tough one last night at the buzzer to Tennessee. Despite the loss, can't help but think, after 10 games with a completely new starting lineup and with a couple of exceptions, a new roster. To play the #1 team, who had in come rolling, so closely and almost win. That this Illini team has a very high ceiling, higher than Tennessee', perhaps, the highest of any team in the Big Ten. The question is how soon will it come together? If Underwood can it get going by February without too many losses, look out.
  24. No defense of Poles though the Sweat trade was fine, problem is he's been playing hurt all season, getting double teamed because no else is a threat. When you're literally the only guy to worry about it's easy for teams to make you ineffective.
