  1. I'm fairly certain the Cardinals are not making the playoffs still, would have been nice to kill their chances with a sweep.
  2. Just being sarcastic, there’s a real good chance he never be more than what he was as a Cub.
  3. But, but, are the Rays infallible wizards at “fixing” players?
  4. Followed up with 2 K’s and an error on an easy DP GB
  5. Even though its quite probably meaningless, I like what I saw of Collin Johnson, would like to see him get more reps in the next few games.
  6. Same here, flipped over from the Hall of Fame Game/Deadpool, after the Bellinger HR, thought patented fake rally. Then Nico gets on and steals 2nd, was almost certain Swanson, with a two strike count, was going to K. Then Tauchmen pinch hitting, thought certain he was going to make an out and the Cubs would lose in balls busting manner but, alas, it was the Cardinals who took a kick to the balls. And what a glorious kick to the balls it was.
  7. Hell yeah, hope the Cardinals miss the playoffs by one game, take that you fucks.
  8. Thanks, totally overlooked the 3B column.
  9. Cam Smith? Or, did I miss his placement in the image?
  10. With the upgrade at QB would not be surprising if one of Scott or Jones Jr. emerges or appears to be competent. Think we're seeing some of Williams positive effective with Scott already, don't believe he was ever much of presence during last season' training camp, this year he's much more of a factor in camp.
  11. Don't mind the trade at all, Morel, for all of his joy/excitement, is not an everyday player and he doesn't have a position. At the very least, Paredes can play a competent 3B.
  12. If the Cubs could get anything for him, I’d trade him, just can’t see how a trade for Neris makes sense for a contender
  13. About horsefeathers time, very nearly a BP FB that Cubs hitters have constantly missed this season
  14. How a change to the script with a Cubs hitter taking someone deep late in the game?
  15. I’ve come accept the fact that Morel is not an everyday player, he’s a bench/depth player on a good team. Unfortunately, it took a lost season to learn this.
  16. This may be a completely wrong take however, doesn’t a winning team potentially make more money than a losing team?
  17. Canario’ not going to fetch much, I really doubt his trade value was ever high, other teams have data on him and know he’s limited. He’s throw in or add on to another deal.
  18. As I mentioned, was at the game Tuesday, got a Nico Horner pin, and saw a bad team - the Cubs - on the bad end of the luck spectrum. And a mediocre team - the Brewers - on the good end of the luck spectrum.
  19. Against such pitching luminaries as Rea, Meyers, Nelson and Pfaat, what a gauntlet.
  20. We never read such things about Tribisky or Fields, it’s promising, suggesting the Bears have a chance at a real NFL offense.
  21. Pursuing Brennon/Martinez types is in Hoyer’ wheelhouse and exactly what should expect in 2025. If the Cubs are serious about Soto then Hoyer is not their GM.
  22. I’d like to believe the Cubs would be serious contenders for Soto. That’s as far as goes, in actuality, after the Dodgers do not win the WS, they’re going to sign Soto and backload his contract until the mid 22nd century.
  23. Was at the game today, endured the rain delay for that dud, Nevertheless, we had good seats, guess, I can take consolation in the fact that Rea and the Brewers will get obliterated in the playoffs. Can football start already?
  24. I wonder if he has a legitimate chance at the next level? Do his peripherals suggest he has a shot? I know Mervis' and Canario' peripherals imply they both have little to no chance at being an effective major league ballpalyer, hopefully, it's different for Ballesteros.
  25. Removing these clowns from the ball-strike determination equation cannot happen soon enough.
