  1. Don't know about Davis' contact profile however, picking between him and what is known in Canario, I'd go with the unknown in Davis.
  2. Agree, this team needs something, but, a whiff-prone, low-contact Canario is not that something.
  3. It's an overall weak draft, no doubt, I have confidence the Bulls will still find the wrong, worst possible player to draft. I'm going with long, athletic and cannot shoot - Terry, Phillips and Williams - all fit, the same player.
  4. The Cubs are for horsefeathers, don't get me wrong, but, I don't know what you can do when balls several inches from the strike zone are being called for strikes.
  5. Umpire once again completely whiffing on a strike call, sooooo ready for them to removed from the calling balls and strikes equation.
  6. Wisdom adds nothing, well, besides a lack of contact and K's, to the lineup. I agree Quintana is the type of LHP Busch should be facing.
  7. Why not go with more with Little and Hodges? They, unlike, Neris and Leiter, have swing and miss stuff, I'll take my chances with the wildness.
  8. Cubs hit 96+ mph GB's for outs, opposition hits 75 mph fly balls for hits. Rinse, repeat, every horsefeathers game.
  9. I know of the randomness of baseball however, this batted ball nonsense has been ongoing for nearly a month. At some point it's going to even out. In describing Neris last night, heard Pat use such words as character, determination and competitiveness translation - this guy horsefeathers sucks so expect the worst.
  10. Think I'm going to check out until I go to Cubs-Brewers on 7/23 maybe, I'll be delightfully surprised.
  11. To me this is about as realistic as the Cubs "pursuit" of Ohtani.
  12. A fairly well played game by the Cubs results in win. Who knows, maybe, this'll be start of a nice streak by the Cubs. If this not so good Reds team can win 7 in a row, the Cubs are certainly capable.
  13. A Cubs reliever coming in and actually executing? Isn't that against the rules?
  14. May I be frustrated now? How does Busch let that last FB with crush me written all over it go?
  15. Frustrating watching this guy with average to below average stuff mesmerize the Cubs.
  16. Remind us again Jed why Morel was untrade-able? I know he's hit in some bad luck however, this is how most of his at bats go in these situations.
  17. Predictions - Seiya does not finish the game because a strong gust of wind tweaks his side and the Cubs lose a 1-0 on an Amaya PB.
  18. It's a long 55+ days till then, hell, I'm even going to a game during the series with Milwaukee in July. I'm going to enjoy the experience regardless of the product on the field.
  19. The Bears will be much more entertaining than this boring pile of dog-horsefeathers Cubs team. There's actual real talent on the Bears, guys who can play football.
  20. Who couldn't see that coming from a thousand miles away? They could have 10 outs and still wouldn't be able to score the runner from third. By the way, these Reds are not very good, the Cubs are worse.
  21. Let's see what ball's busting way the Cubs can end this game. Something ****** on the way...
  22. Christmas in June! Wisdom actually put the play! Why does it feel like a horsefeathers miracle just occurred?
  23. Swanson and Happ both crushed the ball, unfortunately, they were both GB's.
  24. Put him on the shelf until he's completely healthy, no sense in playing onesy-twosey with IL stints. Call up Davis and go with it or, if we haven't got enough guys who have trouble making consistent contact let's add another K machine with Canario.
  25. There's nothing special about the Reds positioning, it's just the randomness of baseball at play. If the Cubs continue to hit the ball hard, the runs will come.
