  1. Add another week, at Penn State next, which is probably where it'll all come crashing down. There's a chance that Altmyer, Bryant, Franklin and Feagin are actually good a development no one saw coming. We'll see if they can take away the run from Penn State, if they can, there may a chance at even bigger win for the Illini.
  2. In his absence I'd like to see Scott be given a legitimate chance, or even, Collin Johnson, no more Carter at WR.
  3. And, what's with the over-usage of Everett and Carter? I know Scott' mistake prone though, at least, he'll stretch the field and he's not Jones Jr. level of mistake prone. Everett? Don't get this at all.
  4. Given the current state and play of the Colts defense it's reasonable to expect a jump in offensive performance, wouldn't be a surprise if that jump is small. It may take half a season or more before we see anything resembling a bona fide NFL offense out of the Bears. Absolutely sucks, going to have to put up with the endless Caleb' a bust, Bears ruin QB's, yadda, yadda, horsefeathers. What gives me hope is Caleb is not flawed such as Mitch and Justin were and are so, eventually it's going to come around.
  5. I know anything is possible in the playoffs still, they shouldn't go too far, quite probably will lose to Arizona in the first round.
  6. A 2025 Cubs roster without Wisdom and Smyly is automatically better.
  7. The main issue is consistency, I believe pitchers and batters can live with any strike zone as long as what's a strike in the first inning is a strike in the ninth inning. As we've seen on many occasions home plate umpires are not consistent.
  8. Another example of the strike zone changing from inning to inning, that 2-1 pitch called a strike against Suzuki was a ball in the top of the inning. So ready for these clowns to be removed from the strike determining equation.
  9. Can someone please enlighten me as to why Wisdom should take anymore at bats from Busch or anyone else ever again?
  10. Given enough playing time we'll see the same issues with Fields and Dalton as we saw with the Bears. I believe as a Bear, Fields managed a few good games, despite the terrible QB ruining coaching. And what about Mitch? What did the superior coaching of the Steelers do for him?
  11. I honestly don't know what being unable to block someone and getting blown up has to do with coaching. it's probably more about the match up than anything.
  12. In addition to the OL not playing well, we've seen far better play from Jenkins, Wright and, to some extent, Jones hence, they're capable. If they start playing we'll see a pick up in the offense.
  13. Andrew Luck as well, whereas, all the Bears have had is ****** QB play so, I can understand the angst, it's oh no, here we again. I believe we're going have to be patient, Williams has the tools, unlike Mitch and Justin he hasn't shown problems with processing and has a history of being accurate.
  14. There's a fairly recent one here about Cassie' adjustments to his approach, another one, not long ago, painting a not so rosy picture of Shaw' arrival and others. The authors of the articles know more about baseball than I do, and, baseball is hard, and they're probably correct, just overall, not encouraging.
  15. Why? A reading of the articles here has him, like all of the other prospects, light years from the big leagues, maybe 2026 if we're lucky. I understand error-ing on the side of caution but, holy horsefeathers reading the pieces about Cubs' prospects is like looking up what ails you on the web.
  16. Honestly, horsefeathers therm all, let them kick him when he's down, it'll be all that much sweeter when it clicks for Caleb.
  17. I didn't understand the lack of adjustments either, Texans were so clearly going after Jones with Anderson yet, no help, nothing. If we could see it, I would assume the coaching staff saw it, right? All it'll take is for the Bears to burn the blitzes for some big plays then teams will back off. I know, it sounds easy.
  18. Wright and Jenkins have been awful, we know they are both capable and far better than they've shown. Their improved play should make a good difference. I agree, until they start making teams pay for blitzing that's all they're going to see.
  19. Dexter played well again, another sack, he's starting to be a presence and problem for opposing offenses. I noticed hes quite often drawing a double team, maybe, Sweat will start to take advantage.
  20. Everyone keeps heaping praise on the Packers forgetting Love didn't instantly look great last season, believe it was around mid-season when things started flowing for him and the Packers. Bears' defense is already good enough, it's going to take some time for the offense to come around - if it does. And of course, it's going to take time, did we really believe they were going to come out firing on all cylinders?
  21. 2, all day, any day
  22. Regardless of what Caleb said I believe he was nervous and hyped. There's a plethora of evidence that accuracy is not a problem and I don't believe it'll continue.
  23. Jenkins review showed they were close, Shelton getting blown up didn't help although, had he not been tripped by his fellow lineman. He probably still gets beat but, I think the LB doesn't get to Caleb as quick and Caleb hits Allen for the TD. Caleb will improve, he's shown accuracy is generally not a problem, I fully expect a noticeable improvement Sunday night.
  24. What is it with this guy? Even on plays where he’s not directly involved something bad happens.
  25. Really was, given the Bears were never going to score, taking the sack was a better option.
