  1. At least Caleb gave them chance, never would have had such a chance with the previous Bears' QB's. Sure, he was terrible for three quarters but, what he did in the fourth is what a franchise QB does. I'll still take him over Daniels any day of the the week and twice on Sunday. Prior to the hail mary how many times did Daniels get the Commanders into the end zone? And Caleb, having a terrible day, still managed to get the Bears into end zone more times than Daniels did the Commanders. As for the hail mary, officials have no problems calling PI on such a play but, swallow their flags on multiple obvious holds and a block-in-the-back? horsefeathers.
  2. At the very least, unnecessary roughness, way late and completely avoid able on the part of the Oregon player.
  3. Oh well, thought the Illini could possibly cover the spread, roles will be reversed come basketball time - provided they play Oregon, didn't check.
  4. I thought with more competence at QB he might look serviceable, wasn't given much of a chance and probably rightly so. Just too mistake prone to take a chance on him.
  5. I'm confident Gordon will return, Brisker not so much, complications due to concussions have ended careers.
  6. To me it's immaterial who's at QB for the Commanders, the Bears have a better chance of getting enough stops on defense to win.
  7. The Vikings are weakest in the division at the most import position - QB, I don't see how the Bears are easily the worst team.
  8. Yes, they are, unfortunately, here's to hoping their bullpen implodes in the World Series.
  9. I wonder if he would benefit from a position change, thinking WR.
  10. Watched the game on free preview of NHL Center Ice, until a PP towards the end, all they did, for about 5 minutes, is ice the puck. Thought certain the Oilers were going to capitalize on one or more of numerous opportunities off the icing.
  11. I was in the same boat, however, regardless of whom their playing against we're seeing things from a Bears QB that we haven't seen before. Looking defenders off, reading progressions, anticipation throws into small windows, these translate no matter the opposition.
  12. Thanks. Lacrosse, is in some regards, easier, simply because of less bodies - 6 vs 6.
  13. A slide happens when a ball carrier beats his defender and another defender comes over or "slides" to cover the ball carrier. By the way, for shits and giggles, Caleb played lacrosse in HS, makes sense, Maryland, kids are practically born with a stick in their hands.
  14. Being a lacrosse coach, the above sure reads like a slide, is this correct?
  15. I think the Lions are going to roll over them, losing Hutchinson is big blow. And, of course, the Vikings have some weapons but, they're the weakest at the most important position - QB. As we've seen with the Bears - bad QB + great defense < great QB + average defense.
  16. Saw the Commanders lost Jonathan Allen for the season.
  17. This is not Aaron Rodgers’ Bears anymore.
  18. Yep, except that was special effects. Somewhat reminded me of a battle scene from, I believe, Braveheart, where a rolling cannon ball completely removes someone' lower leg at the knee.
  19. The replay, seeing his lower leg being bent a right angle is cringe worthy.
  20. Just saw talk Tua coming back after week 8. What is he, one more hit away from living the rest of his life with mush for a brain? At the very least, he should strongly consider a Guardian Cap even though, as I understand, specialists and quarterbacks have not been given the go on them. I would think an exception can be made for Tua.
  21. Thought Rattler made a few decent throws, agree Maye was solid.
  22. So, yes, the Bears have taken advantage of some weak teams and beat up on them. The Lions did as well, at the moment, are the Cowboys any better than the Jaguars? They're better than the Panthers, though, not by much. I'm pretty confident the Bears could go into Dallas and handle the Cowboys, probably not the way the Lions did but, still, handle them.
  23. The unfortunate part is I believe Justin knew where the hot read is but, he's unable to overcome to the physical barrier of game speed. I think he's aware of it and it must drive him horsefeathers nuts. There's one thing I was fairly certain of when Poles drafted Caleb - that he'd be able to handle the speed of the NFL game, getting through the progressions etc. I knew this because the QB he signed, Bagent, doesn't have the problems with the game's speed, not like Justin. Signing Bagent that told me Poles knows what to look for in a QB.
  24. Because of, I guess, a general slowness, one could say Fields never gave the play calling, etc. no chance.
