  1. It's even remotely not close, especially for an offense minded HC. Did people warn Campbell to stay away from the Lions because of some spookiness or what the horsefeathers ever? Total horsefeathers.
  2. Yes, wanting to dump everyone in a lost season is just hot take nonsense, things turn around quickly in the NFL. And the Bears, regardless of the other horsefeathers, have the best and most important piece in place - the QB - to experience a big turn around next season.
  3. Caleb is all I Poles credit for, I don't believe there was that much luck involved, he made the trade with Carolina knowing full well Carolina was going to draft Bryce Young. Poles knew Young was going to struggle thereby insuring Carolina' first rounder in 2024 was going to be a high pick. Now, number 1? That's probably the luck part, I believe Poles knew there was an excellent chance it was going to be top 5.
  4. Well, similar to Thanksgiving Day the Bears lose and the Illini win. Cracks me up Mizzou trying to play Terrence Shannon' game by initiating contact on offense. Fortunately, for Illinois, none of those Missouri guys are as good as Shannon, In Boswell and Jakucionis do the Illini have the best back court in the Big Ten? They might. At the very least it's one of the best.
  5. I really don't care, I'll still take Caleb today and every other day, it sucks right now, I know. Assuming the Bears luck into, stumble upon the right hire, I'm fully confident the dialog regarding Daniels and Caleb will be flipped next season.
  6. Kyler Gordon is worth keeping, I'm certain there's others, a hot take because nearly everything that could go wrong did.
  7. The OL badness is exacerbated by the fact the Bears have had a historical level of bad luck with injuries. Had they the average level of wear and tear on the OL it may have proved to be adequate.
  8. If, and this is the biggest if, the Bears get the HC and OC correct, Caleb will dwarf Daniels in 2025. He'll dwarf Nix, Maye as well. Daniels will go the way of Stroud and regress in 2025 while Caleb ascends.
  9. Bears with an offensive line composed of 2 guys off the street were able to roll up yards on them. They've got to bank on out scoring teams, usually, that MO doesn't work in the playoffs.
  10. The Jeff Kent porn-stache?
  11. If I were a Lions fan and concerned about the NFC #1 seed/winning the NFC North, I'd be a little nervous about the possibility of the Bears getting their horsefeathers together and winning this game. Chances are they won't get their horsefeathers together but, It's happened before in the NFL and will happen again maybe, this game.
  12. Rather, than looks for ways to objectify the calling balls and strikes let's go with the Golden At-Bat. Such beyond stupid horsefeathers.
  13. This plus attention to the OL and DL, most of the pieces to succeed are in place, other than Caleb finishing on positive note this season is a wash. There's no reason they can't win double digit games next season.
  14. Everything is under a microscope because of this horsefeathered up season, I would venture to say 90% of guys who have been beaten up would say such a thing. Additionally, the media is looking to dump all over the Bears, anything and everything negative, just keep kicking them while their down. I'm going to give DJ a pass. I do agree about forfeiting.
  15. Probably the medicals coupled with the Marlins having a unreasonably high price tag, good, he wasn't worth Cassie or Alcantara.
  16. I've a prediction regarding the Vikings - they'll lose a big or playoff game on a blocked punt. Our lower than dirt Bears managed to block one and came close another time, they found something and took advantage of the Vikings punt team. Just something to file away for later in the season.
  17. Well, yes, given this team' extreme case of step-own-their-dickitus, forgot about this, thanks.
  18. I know it sucks but, a lose is better, in theory, with some effort, the Bears should be able to move the ball and score some points. Don't really believe the Lions can stop anybody right now, even the Bears.
  19. I'd like to see an increase in the number of targets for Rome and DJ, coupled with a lesser number of balls thrown to Allen. Maybe, work in Tyler Scott as well, it's basically a jump start on the pre-season for the Bears. Better yet, just shelve Allen, he doesn't apply to future, no reason to waste any of Caleb' development on him.
  20. Clock/Game management? Better challenges? Point is, no way the Bears going to win 8-9 games with the fired version of Eberflus. I'll give you the unlucky side, while being largely incompetent, he and Bears have had the most awful luck in 2024. Outside of Caleb not being a complete disaster nothing has worked, everything that could go wrong, has, it's mainly a by product of being terrible in the trenches. However, almost all of Poles' other moves have backfired.
  21. Do the Nuggets have the assets? In this case the Bulls can and should hold for a big time return, LaVine is playing pretty well, no reason the Bulls shouldn't ask the world for him.
  22. Had they gone 9-8 there's a good chance Eberflus would have improved as a coach, 9-8 doesn't happen with the version of Eberflus that got him canned. But, alas, Eberflus didn't learn from his mistakes and never attempted to improve, although it's a horsefeathers show now, it may ultimately turn out to be a good thing he was terminated. I believe Poles is soon to follow him out the door, a clean GM/HC slate is probably best. Although it's the Bears doing the hiring nevertheless, a clean slate is probably for the best.
  23. I honestly believe the previous coaches didn't like the QB's because they sucked, the new HC will like Caleb.
  24. Yeah, I'd go with Bagent to close out the season,
  25. This season is a wash, beyond the health of Caleb there's nothing to be taken away from this offense. Next season is a reset and we can only hope it's one with a competent HC. On the subject of HC's and all of Ben Johnson' supposed demands, on one hand, I can see trying to meet them in order to hire him. On the hand I'm thinking horsefeathers him and his demands, Kingsburry could come in and vastly improve this team' offense and Caleb probably without a bunch of organizational demands, extraneous horsefeathers.
