  1. And he's not above cheating, is there any doubt?
  2. They must practice that, I find it hard to believe he's throwing the ball up for grabs hoping for the best result. Now, the part I can't figure is how defenders seem to consistently fall down, well, maybe is just the Bears. Time and time again we've seen them fall on their asses leaving Packers receivers to make a catch.
  3. And it's just our luck or, I guess, fate, the Bears finally have a QB who can possibly flip the narrative on Bears-Packers but, he's going to be pissed away by incompetence.
  4. It's annoying as hell to see Daniels do well and the Commanders win. Regardless of what happens next week we're in for a whole off season of Daniels >> Caleb. Which really sucks because it could be turned around with a decent off season by Bears. There's the catch though, I little faith in Poles being able to manage anything remotely close to an effective off season. It's going to start with Poles hiring the wrong HC and it'll go down hill from that point. For the record I believe Daniels is going to regress in 2025.
  5. Hey Packers fans look at this way at least LaFleur wins the HC grooming contest over Sirianni. The haircut and beard just perfect.
  6. Man, I enjoy watching franchise QB Love continuing to horsefeathers up, I know it's weak. Schadenfreude is all us Bears fans have right now.
  7. That was a great run by Jacobs.
  8. I'll give the Packers defense credit, they've kept them in the game. Shocking, calling the arm around the neck a hold on the Packers, positively shocking. And yes, I'm bitter, because that's how the Packers "defended" Khalil Mack about half the time. That horsefeathers Bulaga, the chokehold was his go to move vs. Mack.
  9. Just breaks my heart the Packers suffer an in game OL injury during the Postseason. Poor Packers.
  10. That wouldn't be the worse outcome, as they're both 60+ plus years old it might not be a long term solution. They could probably turn the Bears around.
  11. I don't see the problem with all the interviews, there's quite a bit to criticize about the Bears. Complaining about the who they do interview seems like useless piling on melodrama. Let's just keep finding more things heap on the Bears because everything must be bad.
  12. This may have mentioned before nevertheless, if Caleb was in Denver or DC he'd be the run away winner for ROY. He'd done way more than Daniels or Nix did and it's not even close. Is just a shame the Bears wasted a year of Caleb with inept coaching and an OL that was a disaster. On the other hand put Nix or Daniels in Caleb' situation? Would either have come close to doing what Caleb did? Not a chance.
  13. Brady, Monken, Coen
  14. Excellent, that's one less mistake Poles could make, of course, plenty of mistakes - Flores, Weaver, Kafka - remain.
  15. Yes, starting with the draft, Poles will be position to draft Campbell (LSU) or Banks Jr. (Texas) he won't take either. Instead he'll draft Simmons (OSU) who had season ending knee surgery in October. And of course, Simmons will have some problems with recovery, or will re-injury the knee in OTA's or some stupid horsefeathers, basically, because of injury, he'll be ineffective.
  16. Every year, no matter how good his teams are, they'll have bad losses to garbage teams like USC.
  17. A terrible loss to a lesser team than Penn State, 7-31 from three is what doomed them. Next is the toughest road trip of season @Indiana, @MSU, hopefully, they'll regress to the mean with the three ball in those games.
  18. This off season, without question, he's got to do both. Well, that is, if he's truly committed to improving the trenches.
  19. Agree, your OL is dominating the line of scrimmage why stop running the ball?
  20. I thought the same, never been that impressed with Allar. Sure, he feasts on lower tier teams but, when push comes to shove against quality opponents he mostly comes up empty.
  21. I thought he played pretty well, didn't force anything, made some good passes. It was great to see that 3 go in for him late in the game. I believe it's an adjustment period for him and he'll get it going soon. Also, the flop by Baldwin, he basically took himself out of the game, don't how smart of a play that was, turned out good for the Illini.
  22. Why should Poles have job security? I wanted him fired, in lieu of that, I do not see the issue with making Poles prove he can get it right. This whole lame duck GM thing is bit overblown by the media, while it may mean something to prospective head coaches, I do not believe it's the be all, end all. If the eventual head coach comes in and starts winning it will be mostly due to Poles fixing the roster. Given this, the GM situation will effectively fix itself in that Poles will be extended or re-signed.
  23. Assumption on my part, your probably correct and Kingsburry doesn't interview at all. In this case, with a fixed roster, the Bears will competitive with any of Johnson, Brady, Monken or McCarthy.
  24. It boils down to the trenches, if Poles successfully addresses them, most especially the OL. They'll be competitive with any of Johnson, Brady, Kingsburry, Monken or even McCarthy. Coaching matters but, it's still more about Poles ability to fix the roster for me, that's the primary concern.
  25. We know whatever decision the Bears make will be wrong. What if it is Ben Johnson? Is that wrong by default?
