  1. Mr. Lateral Run? Even I saw that hole.
  2. Should that ball have been caught? Was it completely un-catchable?
  3. I believe the Bears should make an offer to Jenkins, I don't know if or how much it can be based upon availability which should be part of the offer. If he chooses to move on, so be it, there's no fear of him suddenly becoming an iron man. I remember him getting injured and coming out of game when literally no one was around him nor was he engaged.
  4. A bit ambitious on my part, it's good bet they're 8-7 or 7-8 with those coaches.
  5. With either the Bears are probably 10-5 or 11-4.
  6. That's the concern, maybe, just maybe, with a potential franchise QB in hand, they'll go against their nature and go with clear choice football coach. They really can't afford to horsefeathers up, this time they have someone who can lead them out of desert, they've got to make the right choice.
  7. Neither do I, no Vrabel either, I do agree its a good sign. I believe one of Ben Johnson, Joe Brady or Kliff Kingsbury will be the Bears HC and Caleb will thrive under any of them.
  8. Very true, you don't hear this regarding Nix or Daniels, you don't hear Aikman saying Nix is broken. I'm sorry Troy but, Bo Nix will never be as good as Caleb, never. It's just the continuance of the overt negativity with the Bears, won't stop until they start winning.
  9. Doing all this amidst chaos and other garbage, I'd really like to see what Daniels or Nix would have accomplished in such an environment. The overt negativity continually thrown Caleb' way is the polar opposite of the attitude towards Nix and Daniels. Yet, the numbers don't suggest they're markedly better than Caleb. I sooooo want the Bears to get their horsefeathers together, flip the script. I firmly believe Daniels will regress next season while Caleb explodes. Regarding the negativity, the Chicago media is really getting tiresome, baiting DJ Moore and others. It's a lost season, to keep piling on and kicking the Bears while their down is completely pointless. Yes the Bears are terrible right now, nearly everything has gone wrong, what more is there to say?
  10. I believe this is the case, just like Ohtani' "interest" in the Blue Jays, just to say they did their due diligence. But everyone knows the fix is in.
  11. This may be true but, look at Stroud he's clearly regressed from last season, what could it mean? Or, is it a case of Stroud' 2023 and to some extent Daniels' 2024 being one-offs for them?
  12. RIP, one of my favorite players, had him on my Strat-O-Matic team, he won MVP of our league while helping my team to the playoffs.
  13. I really don't get how a guy like Cousins, leading the NFL in interceptions has a QBR of 52 whereas, Caleb' at 47.7. Guess all the sacks are worse than a horsefeathers-ton of turnovers?
  14. Flip Caleb with Daniels or Nix and he's easily out performing both of them with their current statistics. Put Nix or Daniels in Caleb' shoes and I doubt they're even starting any more, Bagent is playing.
  15. Caleb is also statistically on par with everyone's darling CJ Stroud. Stroud, at least from a statistical stand point, has regressed. If one considers a QB' second season before a full evaluation of him, what does this say about Stroud? I'm fairly confident what's playing out with Stroud is what we'll see of Daniels and Nix next season, while Caleb and, probably Maye, with improved coaching, ascend.
  16. It's not a Herculean task either, well, for Poles it is, there's at least two examples of teams fixing their OL's in an off season. The point is an OL can be addressed and repaired in an off season. I really do believe most any GM off the street could come in and do a better job with the trenches than Poles has done.
  17. Appears the Bears are locked into the 9th pick, have a shot at 8 if the Jets can get another win. Jets last game is at home vs. Miami, so, a possibility for the Bears to move up. Nevertheless, they've 4 picks in top 100, 8 overall, including, if the draft order remains stagnant, picks 40 and 41. They absolutely need to go some combination of DL, OL, OL, OL with those first four picks. Are we confident, if Poles is the GM, he knows what needs to be emphasized this off season? I'm not so certain. I'm in the fire Poles camp, I believe most any GM will come in and realize what needs fixing on this roster.
  18. horsefeathers, Trubisky, Fields, Nagy, Eberflus, even Pace were all good ways towards horsefeathers to begin with, you start with horsefeathers you end up with horsefeathers.
  19. It's even remotely not close, especially for an offense minded HC. Did people warn Campbell to stay away from the Lions because of some spookiness or what the horsefeathers ever? Total horsefeathers.
  20. Yes, wanting to dump everyone in a lost season is just hot take nonsense, things turn around quickly in the NFL. And the Bears, regardless of the other horsefeathers, have the best and most important piece in place - the QB - to experience a big turn around next season.
  21. Caleb is all I Poles credit for, I don't believe there was that much luck involved, he made the trade with Carolina knowing full well Carolina was going to draft Bryce Young. Poles knew Young was going to struggle thereby insuring Carolina' first rounder in 2024 was going to be a high pick. Now, number 1? That's probably the luck part, I believe Poles knew there was an excellent chance it was going to be top 5.
  22. Well, similar to Thanksgiving Day the Bears lose and the Illini win. Cracks me up Mizzou trying to play Terrence Shannon' game by initiating contact on offense. Fortunately, for Illinois, none of those Missouri guys are as good as Shannon, In Boswell and Jakucionis do the Illini have the best back court in the Big Ten? They might. At the very least it's one of the best.
  23. I really don't care, I'll still take Caleb today and every other day, it sucks right now, I know. Assuming the Bears luck into, stumble upon the right hire, I'm fully confident the dialog regarding Daniels and Caleb will be flipped next season.
  24. Kyler Gordon is worth keeping, I'm certain there's others, a hot take because nearly everything that could go wrong did.
  25. The OL badness is exacerbated by the fact the Bears have had a historical level of bad luck with injuries. Had they the average level of wear and tear on the OL it may have proved to be adequate.
