  1. Sign me up, getting back a first, most especially in this draft, where the difference in the player available at #10 and that at #17 is pretty small.
  2. Believe their pick at #10 depends on what happens with Dalman. If they sign Dalman, I'm thinking they go Jeanty at #10. If not, then DL might be in order at #10.
  3. Nope, maybe two years ago, there's a strong possibility he's cooked.
  4. I believe Bosa and Mack are cooked and therefore not worth consideration by the Bears. I'm in the Young and Davenport camp and maybe, kick the tires on a trade for Hendrickson.
  5. He's probably an improvement over Lewis as well, heck, he's 11 years younger.
  6. He's probably not much worse than Everett, in fact, I think there's a real good chance he's an improvement. Everett was terrible even for a second TE.
  7. I thought it bad idea to spend a load on Smith, I'd rather they do what they're currently doing. Center is next, it has to addressed, if not Dalman, then the next best FA center.
  8. I have the same thoughts, immediately went to what's wrong with him? Is just age? He's, 32, will be 33 in November, does he have another year in him? On the other hand, I do not believe the Bears are done with the OL, they're going to sign someone in FA along with a draft pick or two.
  9. If they can sign Dalman then, I believe Jeanty, if available at 10, is a real possibility. Maybe, go Jeanty, DL, OL, WR/TE with the 4 picks inside the top 100.
  10. Some chatter about the Bears signing Mack, unless he's cheap, don't believe any cap space should be wasted on him. I'd rather they sign Chase Young and Marcus Davenport, believe both can be had on cheap one year prove-it deals. There's also been some thought they are looking to follow Dennis Allen to the Bears.
  11. Saw Kansas lose last night, they're 19-11 overall, have not been following, is their situation similar to the Illini? Illness and injuries really taking a toll on their season?
  12. I'm guessing far more of the first option than second, Duke game is probably still fresh in most minds. That's okay, no expectations, no pressure, ultimately, all depends on the match-ups, with favorable match-ups we may see them make a run.
  13. Helps they've another long break between games, don't play again until Friday. Underwood mentioned they've been able to have full practices again, I have to think we'll see better basketball from a very capable team.
  14. True that, I’ve a feeling the success of this season will not sustained by May. He’s got a great combination in Wolf and Goldin something of which he’ll never have again. Maybe, the Illini are getting healthier, Ivisic is looking better. Hopefully, the regress to mean game from 3 is coming, be nice if it comes vs. Purdue.
  15. That's true, maybe, on their "cheat" days.
  16. It's a dam shame the Bears, being in Chicago, as compared to the rest of the North, got such a terrible food grade. None of Detroit, Minneapolis or Green Bay, when comes to food, could hold a candle to Chicago.
  17. Is Cassie hurt? Do not believe he’s had an at bat this spring. Did I miss something?
  18. Much like the answer from Bertz above, both make perfect sense, look at aspects of player' game that have changed. And, are those changes effective? If so, they may appear when the lights are turned on.
  19. Question regarding Spring Training - Which type of success is most likely to translate to regular season success hitting or pitching? Arguments could be made for both, think I would choose pitching as the most likely to translate. Keller, Scalzo looked good and, despite giving up a HR, I liked some of what I saw from Neely.
  20. The Ilini suffer an all-time worse loss in program history last Saturday, given the current state of the team. We all knew a beat down was coming guess, the margin doesn't really matter. The lack of 3-point shooting is just mind boggling, decent shooters missing open 3 after open 3, 7-33 vs. MSU, 2 for whatever vs. Duke. It's definitely starting to affect other phases of their game, most especially on defense and rebounding. One of these games, from the 3-point line, they're going to regress to the mean, maybe, it'll be vs. Iowa tomorrow. Once they start hitting some shots other phases of their game will pick up.
  21. I agree, Preciado, Mena and Santana aren't going to make it, it's all up to Cassie.
  22. Yes, I can see that, injuries also took a toll on Bryant as well, maybe its a wash.
  23. So the return on the Bryant trade is ultimately going to be nothing, great.
  24. Thanks, my mistake, he was DFA'ed to make room for Turner. Saw some pieces lamenting this move, I don't see the loss.
