  1. Betts and Freeman are on the wrong sides of 30, if age regression, injury hits, the lineup isn't all that special. Ohtani can be pitched around, even though they've been effective today, I'd still take my chances with being able to consistently get the likes of Edman, Hernandez, etc. out. I'll take a healthy Braves lineup over a healthy Dodgers lineup.
  2. What's going to happen first this season? Cubs win, Tucker getting a hit, Shaw getting a hit?
  3. I know it's primarily about money but, just curious, do the Cubs have the ability to opt out of the Toyko Series?
  4. I knew they were not going to win 1 - 0, Berti's slick fielding directly lead to one unearned run and contributed greatly to another run. If he had held the ball instead of trying to turn two, Cubs had a chance to get out of the inning down 2 - 1.
  5. Yes, Berti is worthless, hopefully, Nico will be back soon.
  6. Also, don't get Auburn as the overall number one seed, believe Florida, Duke and Houston all had cases to be in that position. Not that it matters, as long as something bad happens to them and Pearl.
  7. I agree, dude is a TO machine, honestly, don't believe him moving on is that big of a loss. Most especially with his play of last month or so, for the most, part it's been ******. I'd like to see Riley stay for another year though. He could probably jump into the lottery next year.
  8. Exactly, it's what I meant about Wolf, thinks he's Magic Johnson, he's not. When they lost at Minnesota, Wolf hurt them with careless turnovers. I really don't believe San Diego has a much of a chance, Michigan will win with relative ease.
  9. Neither do I, UC San Diego is senior laden, they're also small, going 6-6, 6-5, 6-4, 6-6, 6-8. Think Wolf and Goldin are going to present big match up problems for them. The only worrisome aspect is Wolf, sometimes he thinks he's Magic Johnson out there and commits a lot of turnovers. Against smaller and presumably quicker opponents him handling the ball too much might be a problem.
  10. Neither do I, have never understood the continual overrating of Wisconsin, no doubt, they're a quality team, #13 KenPom. I just think they get overrated time and again. In taking a glance at KenPom except Gonzaga, with an 8, every top 10 team was seeded 3 or lower then, you've got Wisconsin at #13 with a 3 seed. Despite Michigan being the trendy upset pick, it wouldn't be shocking if Purdue goes down in the first round and Wisconsin doesn't make it past the second round. In fact, of all the Big Ten teams, I believe Purdue, Oregon and, of course, the Illini are the most likely to not make past the first round. Which Illinois team is going to show up? Is the one we saw play at such a high level earlier in the year? If that team shows up there's a real good chance they make it to the second weekend.
  11. Not too bad, I, thought, despite what that idiot from CBS says, Michigan got a decent draw.
  12. U of M turned it around within a week, back court finally kicked in for them. We’ll see their draw, maybe, it’ll be good. I know the Illini will get horsefeathered over.
  13. Honestly, who gives a horsefeathers about what St. Brown says regarding the Bears moves?
  14. Figuring it out is never going to happen, from a monetary standpoint Fields has done quite well. Accomplishments as a player? Not so much. Nevertheless, I wish him well.
  15. I'd add a kicker with a big leg to the off season wish list.
  16. He doesn't have to be Richard Dent, just someone the opponents will devote resources to block thereby, making a healthy Sweat much more effective. Who, knows, maybe, a trade for Hendrickson is still in the works. And holding out for the possibility of Young or Davenport on the "cheap".
  17. I'm certain they'll draft an OL as well. They've signed Dalman, line is looking solid, if Jeanty' gone at 10 and they don't want to reach for, say, Hampton, that doesn't preclude from taking, if available, Campbell, Banks Jr. or Membou.
  18. The Falcons had several months to get that done. Now, all of sudden, an hour or so before FA is set to begin they're attempting to lock him up? Right.
  19. I very much like that draft for the Bears, that's almost as good as it can get for them. Question for all - say they sign Dalman and Jeanty' gone before 10, does anyone think a reach for Omarion Hampton (by the way, great first name) is possible? I know the draft is deep at RB, I really like, Quinshon Judkins or Kaleb Johnson on days 2 or 3. But, Hampton has a great RAS, of which, I've read, Ben Johnson is big proponent -
  20. Wolf and Goldin are great but, on the whole, U of M’s back court is for horsefeathers.
  21. MSU looking good early vs U of M, I’d like to see what a healthy Illini team could do to MSU. Maybe, we’ll get a chance in the BTT, The Illini win vs Purdue, one of the handful of times Underwood out-coached an opposing coach, kept doubling of Kaufman-Renn in his pocket until the end. Then sprang on Purdue and threw them off enough to make a difference.
  22. Where do the Bears sign?
  23. I hope not, he's cooked, don't have the slightest hope there's anything left in the tank. I guess it couldn't hurt to a flyer on him still, money could be better spent.
  24. Illini finally put a pin in Purdue' series winning streak, didn't hurt they got a make up phantom foul on White's 3-pt play. Of course, earlier in the game, Jakucionis was called for a phantom foul on Smith' (maybe it was Loyer') 3 attempt. Johnson possibly being back would be huge for them, think he would have made a big difference tonight.
  25. I believe these are the updated picks for the Bears:
