  1. Read something about Dallas being a possible trade up candidate, I would not.
  2. I agree, if Jeanty there at 10 the Bears are going to take him otherwise,OL - Campbell, Banks Jr. or Membou. Also, if Jeanty' not there at 10 a trade down, with Omarion Hampton being the first rounder is a possibility.
  3. is Tucker the best player in the NL Central? I say yes,. It's a shame I have little faith in the Cubs even attempting to re-sign him.
  4. Bottom of the 9th, two outs, Cubs up 15, I think this game is out of the bullpen danger zone. I think.
  5. Thanks was about to check out any rumors about possible ties to the Blackhawks. I'm for it, let's give him a shot.
  6. Definitely should be close games, WMU went 2-1 vs. Denver, believe all were one goal games. Didn't know there was speculation about the Denver coach moving on to, I presume, the NHL?
  7. Anyone watching NCAA hockey? Was looking for a potential MSU - BC match in the final, now rooting for WMU although solving Denver is going to be a real task. Don't know what to think of PSU-BU, BU I guess?
  8. Thanks, me, being a math and physics guy, loves your explanation and charts of pitching science. Well, come to think of it, baseball is physics. As you said, the main take away is Morgan because of a lack of plus stuff has no margin for error.
  9. Morgan can join Pearson, just don't see an avenue to effectiveness for him. Didn't someone mention he was extraordinary lucky last year?
  10. On a bit more rational take I believe there are some young arms that could help, the question is how many games will Pressly, Morgan, Rea and Brasier be allowed to blow before going with the young arms? I don't believe any of these guys should be given a long look most especially when you're trying to reach the post season.
  11. Horton and Little could potentially help, but, I've no faith that they're alive let alone throw a pitch or another pitch at the major league level.
  12. After blowing x number of very winnable games, it'll come together, however, the early blown games will cost the Cubs later.
  13. Of the last off season acquisitions the only BP arm I'd consider keeping is Thielbar. Even though he could not throw many strikes today he's got decent stuff. I think he'll be okay, don't have any such hopeful notions for the likes of Pressly, Rea or Morgan.
  14. Thought Auburn was fairly vulnerable yet, I've never really believed in MSU. Thought they way over performed, it really was a great coaching job by Izzo. Sucks Pearl is going to the Final Four, I'm fairly confident they'll get blasted.
  15. And the year before, sign/trade for a bunch of bargain bin relievers, get ripped, blow games. Rinse repeat, rinse repeat, rinse repeat. I've had it with this cheap-ass ownership and their minion in Jed.
  16. I'd be surprised if he makes it through this season.
  17. I guess even the Braves are not immune, Neris blew opening day. I'd be willing to bet, the Braves, unlike the Cubs, will not give Neris as long a leash. He'll be gone well before June.
  18. At least Pressly doesn't walk the world like Neris, granted he's throwing batting practice still, not as frustrating as watching walk after walk after walk.
  19. Pressly this year, Neris last year, Fulmer two years ago, different names same script - get shelled early, have a streak of effectiveness, build a little trust, get shelled again.
  20. Has Shaw, thus far, hit one ball hard? I know it's very difficult and all but, horsefeathers, I'd like to see one "top" prospect do something early. PCA, after a long period, came around, Shaw, like him early, looks to be adapting/adjusting, it's going to a be long time before we see anything from Shaw. Isn't it?
  21. There's been speculation about Villanova also, he's been at odds with the football HC over NIL money and the AD just left for SMU.
  22. Maryland is done, super early prediction Illini >> Maryland next season, the Terrapins dominance of the Illini will end. In addition to Queen and Reese, the Terps may also be losing their coach, the Illini are going to wipe the floor with them.
  23. I think it's addition by subtraction with Jakucionis leaving, his bad TO's fed into runs that put them into big holes from which they never could recover. The game against Kentucky being the latest example.
