WTFever, you can always find another Morez Johnson, Boswell, far more important, is running it back. Word is Johnson got 1.3 million whereas, U of I’s offer was .6 million, so much for his lack of offensive development BS excuse.
Kyle Tucker is really horsefeathers good isn’t he? There’s Ohtani, Soto, Judge a couple other players and Tucker, going to suck when the Cubs don’t re-sign him.
Not just Illinois, Tre Holloman, key part of MSU’ success entered the portal. Like nearly everything else, it’s about the dollars. Although I can’t see Holloman commanding top dollar and getting them anywhere. Illini may get a commitment from Josh Dix, though not the same position, I’d trade Morez Johnson for Dix.
If anything I believe Poles will trade down, given what he has said regarding the draft he's aware it's top heavy. Being so, there isn't much difference between picks 10 - 50 offering a good case for moving down and acquiring more picks.
I agree, if Jeanty there at 10 the Bears are going to take him otherwise,OL - Campbell, Banks Jr. or Membou. Also, if Jeanty' not there at 10 a trade down, with Omarion Hampton being the first rounder is a possibility.
Definitely should be close games, WMU went 2-1 vs. Denver, believe all were one goal games. Didn't know there was speculation about the Denver coach moving on to, I presume, the NHL?
Anyone watching NCAA hockey? Was looking for a potential MSU - BC match in the final, now rooting for WMU although solving Denver is going to be a real task. Don't know what to think of PSU-BU, BU I guess?
Thanks, me, being a math and physics guy, loves your explanation and charts of pitching science. Well, come to think of it, baseball is physics. As you said, the main take away is Morgan because of a lack of plus stuff has no margin for error.
On a bit more rational take I believe there are some young arms that could help, the question is how many games will Pressly, Morgan, Rea and Brasier be allowed to blow before going with the young arms? I don't believe any of these guys should be given a long look most especially when you're trying to reach the post season.
Of the last off season acquisitions the only BP arm I'd consider keeping is Thielbar. Even though he could not throw many strikes today he's got decent stuff. I think he'll be okay, don't have any such hopeful notions for the likes of Pressly, Rea or Morgan.
Thought Auburn was fairly vulnerable yet, I've never really believed in MSU. Thought they way over performed, it really was a great coaching job by Izzo. Sucks Pearl is going to the Final Four, I'm fairly confident they'll get blasted.
And the year before, sign/trade for a bunch of bargain bin relievers, get ripped, blow games. Rinse repeat, rinse repeat, rinse repeat. I've had it with this cheap-ass ownership and their minion in Jed.
