  1. I'm sorry but, there's nothing at all impressive about Horton. It's mistake after mistake after mistake maybe. it's a learning curve, still, discouraging.
  2. And, I don't how the horsefeathers he was initially called safe - he was out unless, that was the umpire signaling interference.
  3. Yes and unfortunately, I don't think we've seen the last of him hanging breaking balls, they'll be plenty more.
  4. Horton hanging breaking balls, Smith will be pin point perfect count on it, man it's frustrating.
  5. If true, sounds like Ben Johnson is going to fix it, I don't think he's in the business of giving free passes to anyone. Moreover, I remember, at one point last season, many of the players were requesting they'd be coach harder, kept on task - Johnson will fix this as well. Thought I read something about Poles questioning lack of attentiveness during training camp? If so, my guess is he stepped in and talked to Eberflus, of course, once you set the tone of not being serious, etc. it's hard to break.
  6. Been in the Cubs' system for 8 years after 5 years at Quincy University, wow. Appears he starting his best season ever this year?
  7. Didn't Warren and Poles have to double team George?
  8. I agree, believe everyone except the Bears' brass knew Eberflus should have been fired, I still think Eberflus was foisted upon Poles. Poles knew full well Eberflus should have been fired, ownership had a heavy hand in him being retained. And I'm not certain they could have had Ben Johnson last season, I really think he wanted to finish the job in Detroit by helping them get to the SB.
  9. Believe we read or heard of a high degree of un-professionalism, a lack of attention to detail amongst the last coaching staff. At the least, it sounds like the Bears have remedied those issues.
  10. I believe the Bears have gone to great strides to put Caleb into a position where he can succeed and that's all you can ask of any team.
  11. It's too bad the Leafs appear to be done, on a good note the Oilers did put those horsefeathers Vegas Golden Knights to bed last night.
  12. I remember that game, not only did Benson run all over the Bears, they seemed happy about it, helping him up, encouraging him, just over all delighted with his performance. That's the part I didn't get, congratulate an opponent after the game, during the game do everything in your power to grind him into dust.
  13. That's OK let the media over hype Daniels, the Hail Mary and the Commanders, it'll make it that much sweeter when Caleb out plays him on MNF in front of everyone.
  14. Yes keep taking 2 of 3 and things will be alright. What is about the Marlins pitcher getting multiple strikes on obliviously low balls? Many of them not even close. Think Cubs pitchers got one maybe, two such calls.
  15. He's had 3 good starts all year and, of course, one of them was against the Cubs. However, I don't think the Phillies are done scoring off Gray. And, as I was typing, Schwarber ties the game.
  16. Same kind of BS that helped the Diamondbacks to that big 8th inning a few weeks ago.
  17. There's one, Romano strikes out the side. Hopefully, loss number two is eminent. Really was a perfectly placed FB that struck out Contreras, don't believe he could have done much with that pitch even had he swung.
  18. Arenado pops up and Contreras K's looking. I it's the randomness of baseball and all but, would it kill that horsefeathers Castellanos to something against the Cardinals? Dipshit is dead red against the Cubs but, is an automatic out for the Cardinals.
  19. It's annoying as hell, at some point the schedule is going to catch up to the Cardinals.
  20. Such a lame excuse most especially with the Cubs in a supposed win now mode. Winning sometimes requires a little risk taking, Hoyer took one with Tucker. Should have pulled the trigger on Luzardo regardless.
  21. Luzardo mowing down the Cardinals, still don't understand why the Cubs couldn't match the equivalent of what the Phillies gave up.
  22. What is it about these soft tossing junk ballers that gives the Cubs fits?
  23. That would be great, just don't trust the Bulls to actively pursue getting better. Don't think I've ever seen a franchise less interested in winning than the Bulls. They're mediocre, proud of it and that's all they want to be.
  24. I think it's more 6 of those 9 have been against the Pirates and Nationals. Let's see how they come out of 2 more at the Phillies (Luzardo and Nola), 3 at the Royals, followed by the Tigers and Diamondbacks at home.
