  1. Would be great if Kilian materialized, need something to show from the Bryant trade. Don't think Canario will ever amount to anything as he, basically, can't hit.
  2. If, and it's currently a big if, the Illini sneak into the tournament, they're going to be a low seed with no expectations. They could be one of those high talent low seeded teams that puts it together for few a games. Between illness and injuries things have piled on them, all it takes is a little health and some good things to happen. Anything, a good shooter who's been in a season long slump putting it together for a half, a talented player finally playing to his talent level, something positive could spark good basketball from a capable team.
  3. Davis was throwing up at halftime, apparently Ivisic has had just one full practice this month, don't know what is about Underwood' teams and illness. They're so sick that Underwood chose to skip the handshake. Throw in numerous injuries and you have this disaster, don't think there's much that can be done.
  4. I believe there's a strong chance Turner is cooked, then what?
  5. I saw the statistics, maybe a bit of a hot take on my part. Just leery of 40+ plus year olds, don't believe it's a great idea to expect continued success.
  6. If not Arenado, there's got to be better options than older than dirt Turner and Robertson. They're both a waste of resources and may cost the Cubs a win or two.
  7. Don't want to waste money on Turner, he's done, much like Mancini, etc. Maybe pursue a trade for Arenado? He'd be relatively cheap both monetarily (Cardinals would be on the hook for a portion of his salary) and in prospects.
  8. I'd take Gretzky and Mario Lemieux before Ovechkin any day of the week and twice on Sunday. In fact, back in the day, I often thought Lemieux was the better of Gretzky.
  9. If the Bears cannot sign Simth, that's okay, not tying so much to player will allow them to sign multiple offensive lineman. Probably a better approach for the Bears.
  10. Wonder if this marks the beginning of the end of the Chiefs' dominance? In many ways their 2024-2025 season was, for lack of a better word, miraculous, the numbers suggested they weren't a 15-2 team. The way they won is not sustainable over multiple seasons, besides Mahomes and Kelce their receiver and running backs rooms are meh, defense won't maintain it's effectiveness. Actually their receiver room reminds me of some of the Bears' receiver rooms. Just don't see how they can keep up with what they've got. But, who cares anyway, this Super Bowl crap is over and done with, let's get to free agency and the draft.
  11. You could see this coming, although, they won a phenomenal number of close games, it was a long time coming.
  12. Think it’s pretty safe to say the Chiefs are done.
  13. Start acting like a Big Market team, there's no reason they shouldn't dominate the NL Central. LT be damned, putting forth the best possible team, winning, will ultimately generate more revenue.
  14. Obligatory - I'm shocked the Dodgers haven't made this all academic by swooping in and signing him.
  15. He'd be a nice to have, no doubt. 6 or 7 years? Nice talking with you Alex/Scott, good luck.
  16. If the price was just the pick at 10, I'd strongly consider making the move. I'm certain the Browns are asking for quite a bit more, no thank you.
  17. Do you think post season play might be a concern? I'd say his chances of playing in the post season are higher with Asttros and Cubs then the Tigers and Red Sox.
  18. QB and coaching go hand-in-hand, ****** QB + good coaching = mediocre/crappy, good QB + ****** coaching = mediocre/crappy , only good QB + good coaching = stellar results, we saw this play out with the Vikings. While being a draft bust, I don't think Darnold was a ****** QB, prior to the Vikings he was certainly subject to a good deal of ****** coaching.
  19. I agree on Josh Sweat barring that a guy like Young will draw enough attention. To allow for a step ups in production from Marcus Sweat and Dexter.
  20. I think Poles will correctly kick the tires on a deal for Garrett but, that's as far as it'll progress. Read in a few places Young and Davenport might be inclined to follow Allen to the Bears. Davenport, coming off an injury, should be fairly cheap.
  21. Hard, hard pass on Myles Garrett, would cost way too many resources that are needed in building the OL. Besides, I believe the defense can helped just as much by signing Josh Sweat or Chase Young and Marcus Davenport along with a day 2 DL pick.
  22. Can't un-see that
  23. Very good, guess I should have worded it differently, oh well.
  24. Great effort and I know exactly how you feel. Whilst not the same sport, I play lacrosse in an old man's league, games are on Sunday mornings, 7:55 AM plus, I'm literally the oldest guy out there. For added fun the facility is dimly lit, balls are yellow and quickly get dirty from the old turf. Making them, for me, very hard to see, the only saving grace is I'm not in goal. However, I miss nearly every feed to me on attack, which frustrates the hell out of me because, I usually have a good stick.
  25. Factor in the numerous times he left games and yeah, 62% appears to be a more realistic estimate. I’ve no problem with Jenkins moving on, he’s not going to morph into an Ironman for his next team.
