  1. Saw a little bit of the Herd regarding the attractiveness of the Bears job relative to other openings, they deemed the Bears job the most attractive with the caveat of dealing with the young rosters of GB and Detroit plus the best HC in the Vikings' McConnell. I say horsefeathers them all, you get the correct HC/Coaching Staff and Caleb' the best QB in the NFC North, I'll take that over anything at GB, DET or MINN.
  2. He'll definitely clean up Caleb' footwork and look to maximize his quick release, that'll form a lethal, nearly unstoppable offense.
  3. It's got to be OL or DL with the first rounder, I think even Poles is aware of this need. Maybe look at a RB with their third rounder? They got two second rounders to further spend on the OL or DL which ever one they didn't grab in the first.
  4. Me to, just get Johnson from the Lions, who gives a horsefeathers if you have to potentially wait until Februray. My guess is he has already pretty good idea of the Bears roster.
  5. OC from Buffalo
  6. Beyond terrible coaching the constant has been bad, flawed QB's, Caleb has shown he's different. Maybe, that'll help break the cycle.
  7. And he had Mahomes as his QB think that makes a bit of a difference. In terms of a potential good coach Johnson >>>> Nagy.
  8. Hate to say this but, I hope the Lions win the Super Bowl, might make it easier for the Bears to hire away Ben Johnson. I know the last time the Bears hired a hot shot OC was Nagy and we know how that turned out. Johnson is probably more legit, he's not working with Mahomes and Reid, not that Goff is terrible, he's not Mahomes. A legit, good HC in Ben Johnson + Caleb means the Lions, Vikings and Packers better beat the Bears now while they still can. Then again, who am I kidding? The Bears will probably somehow horsefeathers it up.
  9. Dipshit attempts an apology with this - “To Trevor I genuinely apologize to you for what ended up happening,” Al-Shaair wrote. “Before the game we spoke and I told you how great it was to see you back out on the field and wished you well. I would never want to see any player hurt because of a hit I put on them, especially one that was ruled ‘late’ or ‘unnecessary.’” - putting quotes around late and unnecessary makes me question the sincerity, I believe he did it to save his ass from the above suspension.

  11. I'm fairly certain many are thinking the Bears are going to roll over and 49ers are going to get "well". Wouldn't be shocked if its the other way around, in any case, this game is certainly more winnable now than when scheduled first dropped.
  12. Along with Daniels, irritating, ultimately, Caleb will the best of bunch, glad the Bears took the the best QB.
  13. I would think so as well. Yes, he made a great trade that resulted in potentially the best Bears QB in our lifetimes. He's also horsefeathered up a ton - drafting Velus Jones, neglecting the OL and DL lines, trading for Claypool, signing Davis, retaining Eberflus for 2024, etc. - it's not like he's got some sterling great resume.
  14. As long as they get it right I don't care who makes the decision, does Poles getting the final say guarantee correct hire?
  15. All logic and common sense speaks to such a conclusion. But, it is the Bears so, you never know.
  16. I've seen people arguing it was clean, that's football, total horsefeathers, dude's wearing a brace. Leads with that padded arm right into Lawrence' head, there was nothing "hard" and "clean" about it, should be fined and suspended.
  17. If Brown can help with the case of step on their own dickitis they'll probably win some games. It's not a roster devoid of talent, I would say none of the remaining teams have a big edge, if any, in talent on the Bears. Hopefully, Wright and Shelton will be good to go, the OL with Jones, Jenkins, Shelton and Wright is adequate. An adequate OL with Caleb getting the ball out quick means the offense will cook. Big things are will the defense stop the run enough and generate some pressure on the QB to get some stops. They were able to do so in the second half vs. Lions, which means they're certainly capable of getting a few stops vs anyone else.
  18. I'm probably wrong but, I think leadership may have improved under Poles, I truly believe he convinced McCaskey Eberflus had to go. Eberflus being allowed to do his Zoom call was enough evidence to me that, were it up to McCaskey, he was going to be allowed to finish the season. Poles thought otherwise.
  19. Maybe, look a kicker with a big leg late in the draft, Santos is reliable and accurate but, only at short distances. Need that kicker who routinely nails FG from 50+ yards out like every other team seems to possess.
  20. Other than perhaps, the Cowboys, Bears is the most desirable, Bears roster + Caleb Williams is the closest to a playoff team.
  21. I don't believe it'll be so, Poles had to convince McCaskey to fire Eberflus and he did, I believe Poles knows Brown is a possible candidate and nothing else. True, Poles deserves heat for the obvious roster decencies and giving Eberflus another shot, he also deserves credit for knowing Eberflus had to go. I think he's got an idea of the right moves to make.
  22. Me neither, that's why I don't want see him go 3-2 or win any games. McCaskey' a gullible idiot who'd be convinced they found their next HC should such a thing transpire.
  23. When you think about it, it's very fortunate the way yesterday' game ended, Eberflus in his typical dick-less fashion, was going for the tie. Just consider, had the Bears tied the game, with a probability of 1, Eberflus' defense would have blown it in OT and we'd be talking about another defensive breakdown. While Eberflus remained HC.
  24. To me, the above says Warren/Poles had to convince McCaskey that letting go of Eberflus was the correct move. If true, good on them.
  25. The real question is did Eberflus try to use that final TO? Or is still in his back pocket?
