  1. Until you make your way into the ZOU. :-D How does Colorado look? They come to Columbia Saturday, and I haven't seen them play at all this year. I didn't see any of the game. Theyy only have three losses, but they haven't played anyone. Roby is a very good player, and they're experienced, but if you can beat OU in Norman, you should beat CU in CoMo. And if I were a betting man, I'd predict a loss for KU at Mizzou, too. We haven't faced a true hostile environment yet, and Lord knows the Paige will be a madhouse. Mizzou Arena, not Paige. ;-) But I can't wait, it's gonna be a battle, that's for sure. I think I asked you this before but I don't remember, you making your way out to Columbia, snood? When you name your arena after a snotty rich chick who cheated in college, that's the name you get forever. And no, unfortunately I won't be heading out there. No ticket, no way to buy a ticket. I'll be planted in front of the TV watching, though.

  3. KU with it's seventh straight W. This was they're first real road game against an experienced Colorado. I'm starting to think we could be a player in the mediocre Big 12.
  4. what a crock.
  5. This really shouldn't be a competition. Yeah, the Indians have a nice little run going, but please. That's one title you can't take away from the Cubs.
  6. Ron Cey is spinning in his grave.
  7. WOOT! Great effort to get a huge road win. I just don't understand Mizzou. How can a team look so bad and then go into norman and win?
  8. I bought a 1988 Toyota Camry last March for 1500 bucks. I've put about 12,000 miles on it with no problems. It now has 112,000 miles on it. My parents had a 1993 Ford Taurus Wagon. It needed 5 transmissions in it's brief 37,000 mile life. Finally, my dad complained so much they took it back and basically gave him a sedan. Ultimately, they sold me the sedan. It lasted 100,000 miles, but it took 2 engines to get it that far. It would've taken a third to keep it going. I'll never buy a Ford again. I'll probably never buy American again.
  9. I now what kind of website it is...so take it with a grain of salt. So let's play with the situation a bit: Drese/Watson for Patterson or Bass/Britton for Patterson? ANyone know much about any of those guys? Drese was the Rangers opening day starter in 2005. Yeah, I vaguely remember him, though I have no recollection of his stuff. It was the the guys I was more curious about. Doesn't sound like any of them are all that special, which isn't surprising.

  11. It's really bad, particularly the B12 North. We may only get five, even four, teams in the tourney Do you think Kansas will be one of those teams? I haven't paid very close attention to them this year, but I saw they had a nice win tonight and Rush had a very good game with 24 and 12. How are the young guys adapting? I'm looking forward to getting back into Columbia next weekend so I can make the game on Monday. I honestly don't know. It was a very nice win today, but Kentucky's quality is extremely suspect. The kids do look like they're getting it, though. the CU game this week should be a good indication. (First real road game, CU has only two losses). I figure OU and UT are locks. After that, there are a number of teams that could go: OSU, KU, aTm, CU, ISU Teams that I doubt will go: NU, MU (sorry, but a win against OU will change my opinion), KSU, Tech and then baylor can't go. The reality is, though, no team has played well enough to separate themselves. It's just a pretty weak league.

  13. I think that game said more about UK than KU. Still, I like KU's defense. I also can't figure out what Patrick Sparks is good for.
  14. UI Defense was pretty damn good. What was with the atmosphere, though? Not very loud at all. Was that a bad feed? And could Musberger please be removed from all future telecasts. He's awful. he could make the apocalypse boring.
  15. I thought it meant he didn't want to risk getting injured. The meaning is pretty unclear.
  16. You seem to have anger issues. Threats aren't appropriate here. I don't have anger issues, and I'd be right behind him the whole way. I have extreme anger issues, and I'm in. "Crush, Kill, Destroy."
  17. Doug Gottleib reported on KC radio that he thinks Lute is retiring (according to a source). Has anyone else heard this?
  18. Vince Young is a freak. HOOK EM'!
  19. Can we split this into an official UI whining thread?
  20. Not sure what the ISU loss has to do with anything when measuring IU. Good teams CAN lose bad games. In one of KUs Final Four runs they lost to Ball State. Doesn't mean they sucked. So who has Duke played? Memphis, Indiana, Texas for starters. No disrespect to UI, but they haven't played anyone near that caliber. And DUke is hammering a decent Bucknell team right now. I'd say they're for real, and they have far less to prove than UI, who has yet to play anyone outside of UNC.
  21. "He's gonna take it to the house, folks." Uhhh, he still had 20 yards and like 5 tacklers to evade. Granted he did, but a touch premature there.
  22. I guess I'd stick around for that. What are the chances he'll be healthy and effective? I know he rushed back and all, but he looked absolutely brutal in the postseason.
  23. Especially if you're the Os. If I need to win now, I'd take Contreras over Jerome, but in a rebuilding situation, Contreras makes no sense unless you intend to flip him.
