  1. anyone want roy halladay?
  2. Only until the end of the week. You can make substitutions each week before the week actually starts (monday is the start of a new week). If or once McGehee gains eligibility at 2b, you are welcome to put him there. i assumed he had eligibility because going into the season it said (2B, 3B) next to his name. now it says (3B). anyway i won't have him on my team much longer so if he gains eligibility at 2B someone else can/will have him. i'm likely having a firesale by like mid-may if there are players on my team that anyone wants.
  3. i knew tampa would take a step back but didn't think they'd be bad. their pitching is still really strong. guess their offense royally sucks without longoria though.
  4. great so i'm stuck with [expletive] chone figgins as my 2b the rest of the year? fantastic. does anyone want casey mcgehee, he's now completely useless.
  5. i had casey mcgehee at 2B and moved him off for a day, now i can't put him back there (it just says 3B next to his name). what gives?
  6. .196 BABIP last year. He's about the easiest candidate for a bounceback in the entire league. he was a little unlucky, but his LD% cratered and he hit a ton of fly balls. the babip should have been pretty low. that being said, he's not likely to keep up with the 10% LD%.
  7. I'm starting to think that jeff samardzija sucks
  8. yeah, only the cubs blow a one run lead in the ninth inning.
  9. Not happening. Nate Miles has "backed off". I posted the article on the previous page. not to mention that it doesn't work that way, the title is vacated.
  10. butler is 3-28 from inside the arc, that's almost inconceivably bad.
  11. gonna go out on a limb and say i was not the only one thinking it
  12. considering your knee-jerk theatrics in game threads, you probably should not be criticizing other people for acting childish.
  13. well yeah he's 21 years old, i can't think of any 21 year old athletes that struggled with consistency but later improved. i also like that he says hak-ju lee is the guy who "picks everything up and throws the guy out consistently, otherwise you lose some games." yeah because he hasn't made a truckload of errors too.
  14. three starlin castro choices? that's..... optimistic.
  15. can't wait til the cubs win a world series (note - probably will never happen) and NSBB members (note - board will probably be long defunct in the unlikely event that the cubs ever win a world series) get scolded for celebrating and not discussing the game.
  16. i am ready for this [expletive] to start... starlin castro and the minor leagues are about all i care about in cub world this year. and even the minor leagues it's harder to get excited about since the cubs traded half their system for garza.
  17. beliveau is 24 and struck out 12.5 men per 9 innings in daytona last year, he should be in tennessee.
  18. no, you said that the outback bowl would feature two retiring head coaches. paterno dying before september does not make you correct, he has to retire. you also said with confidence that tom bradley would be leaving to be head coach at pitt and would take a bunch of assistants with him. swing and a miss.
  19. Hrm... if only there were some sort of feature one could employ to ignore those awful, awful meatballs. I agree. Modzilla isn't employed nearly enough. also helpful - not quoting the meatballs so that those of us who have them foe'd don't have to read their garbage.
  20. john lackey can go [expletive] himself.
  21. yeah i was a pretty big theriot defender when he was cheap and not acting like a d-bag (besides wearing affliction t-shirts), but he became more expensive and started playing worse, so it was time for him to go away. some of the stuff he's said since leaving has been embarrassing. sorry pal, you're just not that good a player.
