beef welington had a game-winning rbi single in the 10th inning... he's hitting over .700 with an ops over 1.700. koyie hill's ops is what i weighed when i was about 15.
Well, Marcum deserves a lesser package and Greinke a comparable one. Garza will probably pitch pretty well too. WAR the last 3 years: greinke: 4.9, 9.4, 5.2 garza: 2.9, 3.2, 1.8 marcum: 2.0, N/A, 3.5
given soto's injury history he's unlikely to get 140 starts, so if you have the backup playing 50 games or so and it's koyie hill, you probably should give a [expletive].
well i was hoping someone would draft a non-2010 amateur draft guy so that i knew my plan was okay - i was hoping to draft a guy who is still a prospect without major league experience and didn't see on any rosters. randall delgado from the braves. is that an acceptable pick?
garza had better pitch pretty well this season considering that we traded like half our farm system for him while the brewers got marcum for a lesser package and greinke for a comparable one.
that's because it's stupid. there's little that separates one passionate fan base from another. cliff lee's wife was spit on by yankee fans. white sox fans beat up an old man coaching first base. giants fans knocked a chargers' coach unconscious with a snowball. browns fans have, on multiple occasions, thrown so much stuff on the field that referees changed the direction of play so that the dawg pound could not pelt opposing players with things like beer bottles and batteries. hell even friggin utah jazz fans have thrown crap on the court on numerous occasions. articles like this are just nonsense that appeals to the mouth-breathing segment of america.
here's the full list: 15. los angeles lakers 14. oregon basketball 13. wisconsin football 12. dallas cowboys 11. montreal canadiens 10. lsu football 9. new york yankees 8. duke basketball 7. penn state football 6. boston red sox 5. maryland basketball 4. oakland raiders 3. west virginia mountaineers everything 2. philadelphia phillies 1. philadelphia eagles they might as well have titled this "teams that are popular" or "fans that care a lot about the teams they cheer for" or "hey please read our magazine"
the worst fans are braves or devil rays or jaguars fans who don't go and support their teams even when they're good. phillies fans? they sell out almost every game. but one time they threw a battery at jd drew, so they're the worst.
whitenack did show significant improvement last year, albeit very much under the radar. keeps the ball down (only 8 HR allowed in about 250 pro innings, and 2:1 GO/FO ratio), but he's pretty hittable and doesn't strike out a whole lot of guys. i suppose he's got potential as a back of the rotation prospect.
