Has slowed down again. For instance, in November there were 1,310,876 page impressions and only 875 clicks on the google ads. The other ads on the site are seeing similar performance or even worse.

I'm getting things ironed out with the performance issues with the help of my wonderful new hosting company. But this host is pretty darned pricey and November revenues for NSBB ran at a loss.

Please continue to support NSBB by supporting our sponsors (or at least take a minute to check them out!). Thanks for your help. :D

Which transaction would this fall under Tim?

The $$$$ I have to put out to my server company tonight for December's payment!

Tim, with the holiday season approaching, could you put the link to wrigleyvillesports that you get a percentage from on the front page so that I can direct relatives to it as they do their holiday shopping instead of directing them to wrigleyville sports directly.

I'll try and dig that up.

You should really put a donate link at the top of the forum or something like that. I never go to the front page so I assume others don't as well.

Not a bad idea. I'll have to do that this weekend.

Put the ads back on the bottom of the premium view pages! I t would help all of us continue to suppor the forum.

I'll think about that. I like to keep premium as ad-free as possible. One advantage of it is that if you are on a slow connection, you can turn off all avatars, sig pictures and pictures within posts so that it downloads quickly. Banner ads would defeat the purpose of that.

Hopefully you aren't losing as much running this site as Steinbrenner is running the Yankees.

No, not that much!

I'd surely donate a dollar or two. And I'm sure others would as well. We might be inclined to donate more if you added little *I support NSBB* bits to our avatars.

He's right, I never go to the front page either, maybe add some X-mas related links to the forum pages?

A serious question here...do I have to make a post like this every day? Or is the 10 seconds it takes away from reading the content here really too much to ask? I'm not saying you have to buy anything on the sites you check out. Just go there and see what they have to say and hit the "back" button if you're not interested.

BTW - to all the guests perusing the site: You are welcome to click the ads, too!

Any way you could move the google ads in premium up the page? I try to click on it when I remember, but half the time I forget it's there because I don't usually scroll down that far.

I'm just going to cut and paste this form the emergency board from last night

It makes it difficult to justify paying a subscription to Tim's site when it is down all the time. Just my opinion.

Not to get political here but this problem kind of reminds me of a union.

When I was professing for a living we had a union. About 15% of the professors belonged to the union. The union negotiated contracts with the University on behalf of all the faculty. But becuase only a small minority of people payed dues the University allways "won" when negotiating. Then people would complain about the union "not working". I would tell them then join the union and reap the benefits. People like you and me (and others) pay so other can ride for free. It is the American way.

If people would pay 5 dollars a month (less then the cost of a McDonald's lunch) then Tim could upgrade.

Exactly. And it's worse that the person who posted that doesn't pay for the service anyway. He's visting this wonderful site for free and still complaining. Tim has a wonderful service here and we should do everything possible to keep NSBB around. He's not doing this to make money. It's $5 dollars a month people.

Can someone please instruct me on how to sign up for premium. I know that paypal is involved.

Go to the front page. http://www.northsidebaseball.com. There's a link on the left-hand side about halfway down. You donate through paypal to sign up for Premium.

There is a donation area on the front page of the site. It's on the left, below the forum index area.
