I don't know how the eligibility thing works, but he'll be a senior next year so I'd imagine he'd have to sit out a year if he wanted to transfer. I expect him to enter the NBA draft.

That would be a terrible decision on his part.

I don't know about that. Mizzou basketball will likely blow next year. He's having his best season and he's being talked about on a national level. I think it'd be wise for him to leave after this season.

Bad teams can still have NBA caliber players. Gardner was mentioned for his spurt through the kU game, but since then he's really fallen off. There's a much better chance of him getting drafted after his senior season than this one.

Well, he's still one of the top scorers in the Big 12, if not THE top scorer. I don't know where he ranks now. Someone will draft him, that's for sure.

Edit: And he's had a couple bad games lately, but he's still put up 20+ in 3 of his last 7.

Vedran Vukusic leads the Big 10 in scoring, and like him it's a function of him being the best scorer on a bad team. Gardner doesn't shoot particularly well as a percentage, nor is he very efficient. He's also not known for his defense, although he has the potential to be a pretty capable defender. I'd be very surprised if someone drafted him, especially since this year's draft is supposedly deep.

Kleiza was bad on defense and had a piss poor attitude and he was a first round pick. Someone will take Gardner.

Kleiza also had several inches and an inside/outside game. There aren't many players that can post up and step outside, there are dozens of players who can shoot a 3 and penetrate a little as a SG.

There is some major controversy going on in Columbia right now with regards to the Quin situation. Several players are claiming that Quin didn't just resign, but was forced out. The owner of Harpo's (a local bar that has been a student favorite for decades) has kicked radio talk shows "Tiger Talk" and "The Mike Alden Show" out of his bar in light of the recent events. This is gonna get ugly and there's probably zero chance that Thomas Gardner comes back next year. Read more at the link below if you're interested.

Can Gardner transfer? He'd have to be really really upset to choose the NBDL over the new coach.

I've heard whispers of Gardner, Horton, and Brown all talking transfer/draft, if they leave, along with Young and McKinney graduating, we could have a new starting five next year.

Somehow Notre Dame and BSU won on the same night. Neither impressive - ND beat a USF team that is winless in the Big East 62-55, and Ball State beat the worst team in the conference by a 63-60 margin - but both go up in the W column.

God Bless America. With the way this program is already going, if mass transfers occur, then Mizzou basketball will go even farther into the tubes then they already are. I just hope football season next year goes A LOT better than the crap we've gone through for basketball. By the way Tiger posters, you think Alden should be fired? With the way events have currently unfolded, I say yes.

I'd be surprised if all 3 of those guys left. Horton wouldn't be that big a loss, and I think Gardner's more likely to leave than Brown.

On a side note, I know that there's probably no violations going on now, because I keep seeing Marshall Brown and Kevin Young getting off or waiting for the bus. :P

The thing is, besides football (which still won a bowl game this year), and basketball, our "secondary" sports (softball, baseball, women's basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, wrestling, swimming & diving) have actually built solid programs under his regime here. I don't see him getting fired, even though this whole Snyder thing is reason enough to.

Cal beats Arizona in Berkeley to tie up idle UCLA for first place in the Pac-10. Leon Powe is a beast, if Brandon Roy beats him for Pac-10 POY, there's something wrong. Stanford remains one back of UCLA and Cal.

KU pounds Mizzou by 30-something. At a loss to explain how we lost to them earlier in the season. I hope they get a good coach next year, because it's a fun rivalry when Mizzou is good.

A ridiculous touch foul call on a 3-point shot with .7 seconds left breaks a tie and leads to Tennessee State edging Ball State 70-69. The good news: Star guard Peyton Stovall, who tore his ACL just 2 1/2 months ago, is seen before the game in full uniform shooting around.

The fact that I didn't even know that they played today speaks volumes about how crappy this team is right now.

We're going to need good players to go with that good coach.

Holy!! Last place ASU upsets Cal IN Berkeley in double OT, 65-64. UCLA now is up 1/2 game over Cal. The Bruins play down in the Sports Arena for the last time ever (USC moves to the Galen Center next year) tomorrow evening.

ND beats Seton Hall 102-91 to move into a tie for the all-important 12th spot in the Big East, but a trip to top-ranked UConn looms on Tuesday night. They win the game wearing new black jerseys, and two Irish score above 30, as star Chris Quinn puts up 34 and 3-point ace Colin Falls contributes 32.

They probably had to get back to some parties. Maybe they were scared of the rain in Berkeley too.

Apparently UCLA and USC used to played each other twice in one week back in the day. That would have been an intense rivalry week.

UCLA down 29-25 at the half against USC. They started off playing like crap, and then the refs decided they needed to help out USC whenever UCLA had a chance to tie. :x

The vaunted UCLA defense has really fallen apart a few times in the first half. All in all, very disappointing.
