God I hope KSU can go into Colorado tonight and get a win... I'm not counting on it, but it sure would be nice!

After looking at the schedules I don't really care who wins, I just wish evil upon Cartier Martin and Richard Roby.

you had to look at their records to know this was an irrelevant game?

No, both have similar schedules going forward, so it doesn't matter to me which gets their 3rd B12 loss. My motivation in rooting for either team is for Mizzou to pass them in the standings.

LOL! You're in big trouble if you're chasing those two powerhouses!

FART! Mental lapses on D and free throws cost us the game. Cartier Martin is the BEST player in the BIG 12. 3-3 isn't horrible but 4-2 and 2nd place would be much nicer. At least we have Baylor next.

We are so much improved its hilarious! Honestly, this year we won't do anything, but I WILL bet anyone money that next year this team makes the tourney. It will only be a one year thing, but these juniors are GOOD! Can't wait till we get a legit big man next year!

What? Is Snyder making the basketball schedule now too? You could probably get to 20 wins!

I'm just kidding ya! I have great respect for Mizzou and KSU!

That was good.. thank GOD he retired. Check out our football schedule for next year. Marshall and Louisville. No more 3 game cupcake preseason schedules.

Well, once again, Mizzou loses to a team they probably had no business losing to. Don't get me wrong, I hate Mizzou almost, almost as much as I hate the Cardinals, but I'm frustrated with talented players underachieving with Boy Wonder at the helm. I'm glad Tommy Ammaker's team is doing fine otherwise Snyder may make it harder for any other Duke assistant to get a job. As I said when Ammaker left Seton Hall for Michigan, his teams will do fine. It seems the NCAA infractions are now behind them so he's getting players and developing them. Something Snyder seems to have little concept of. By the way, it seems KU has finally learned to shoot the ball. They look like they're ready to go on a nice run. Winning in Ames isn't an easy thing to do.

Robinson, Chlamers, and Rush are a prety solid three-headed monster. Chalmers in particular is a menace on both ends of the court. If there's one thing to say about this KU squad, they're never dull to watch. I've never seen a more bipolar team. Look great one -second, look completely inept five mnutes later. a 13 point lead with two-minutes left is still nerve-wracking. Still, I'm really starting to like them. And I'm looking forward to the rematches w/ KSU and MU.

Unless you are Texas, or the opponent is Baylor, there's no team in the Big 12 that can say they "have no buisness losing to" on the road. The teams are just too close to each other. If Texas wins tonight, there's only going to be two teams besides them with less than 3 conference losses. That's 8 teams hodgepodged with 3 or 4 conference losses.

That said, the last 3 games have sucked for Mizzou. Hopefully they can get up for the Texas game.

For clarification, I said, ".....probably had no business losing to..." and I still stand by it. Yes, I know the game isn't played on paper, but Mizzou has more talent than Nebraska and I bet looking back two weeks ago you thought that winning at Nebraska was something more probable than possible. I don't see Nebraska just being down right unbeatable at home this year. If Mizzou could beat OU in Norman, why wouldn't you consider yesterday's loss a game Mizzou probably should've won?

I've been telling some KU fans at work that this year kind of reminds me of Bill Self's first year at Illinois when he had a young team. They stunk for the first three and a half months of the season and finished last in the Big Ten, but won their last few regular season Big Ten games and as the bottom seed made it all the way to the Big Ten championship game only to get blown out by the eventual national champs Michigan State. I said all of that to say this, KU will be fine this year. I heard that Micah Downs left school because he missed his girlfriend back home. I know he wasn't getting a lot of playing time, but knowing Bill Self from Illinois I bet he wasn't doing anything in practice. That's really the only time you get in his dog house.

Sure, it's more winnable than the OU game, but it's still a road game against one of your bigger rivals. Everyone in the middle of the B12 is on a similar plane of talent, and winning on the road is difficult, yet possible because of it. I thought we could've won, but I'm not disappointed that we didn't. The way we got to that loss on the other hand, and the last 3 losses for that matter, I'm very disappointed with.

I think you're right. Self repeatedly said, "We need Micah to play his way into the rotation." Apparently he didn't.

Personally, I think Downs was upset about it. And for a person to give up that easily--after only one semester--doesn't say much about the kid's fortitude. There are lots of other rumors, though, so I'm not sure what to believe. Whatever it is, hopefully he'll get it all worked out at Gonzaga, because if he gets his head on straight, he could be a great player.

Goodbye Snyder, your time here was nothing but a downward slope, and I look forward for Missouri having a new coach who knows how to coach and develop a basketball team.

So, DePaul sucks and won't even make the Big East tourney much less the NIT or NCAA's. They have a single conference win (against ND) and have some tough games left on the schedule. Maybe they'll keep a coach around long enough to rebuild the program this time.

Great point except Bill's first year Illinois he went to the elite eight. That was Kruger and the reason they were so bad is becaue Frank Williams, the pg, was prop48. The next year they lost in the sweet sixteen to national runner up florida, then lon left. Bill Self walked into a loaded cabinet at Illinois. Also Kyle Wilson says if Bill wants to recruit over you it is easy to get in his dog house.

BSU downs Toledo 69-56 and have now won 3 of 4. Their 3-6 conference record is inexplicably 1.5 games out of the pivotal 2nd place (the one that gets you the bye to Cleveland in the MAC tourney) going into Wednesday's trip to DeKalb to play Flames24Rulz's Huskies of Northern Illinois.

Wish KSU would have kept Kreuger around

yeah that'll be fun...NIU is pretty bad, nearly lost to CMU a few days ago before rallying with 3 minutes left and we were trailing EMU before going on a run with around 6 minutes left. The MAC is a joke in terms of basketball this year...last year, there were about 3 teams that really could have made the big dance. Ohio is real inconsistant this year as well...they lost to NIU @ NIU and today they lost to Miami Ohio at Athens. As of right now, I'd say Kent St. would win the tourny, but don't put too much on that.

im guessing Self wanted Downs out so that he could recruit Rose
i Doubt it. I think he's most likely UNC bound, maybe UI. Why give up a sure thing for a guy you have only a slim chance of landing?
