Just for metaphic clarity, the poop on the floor is not necessarily trolls, but rather just unimportant, irrelevant, repetative, pedantic, drivel that tends to fill all mesage boards (not just NSBB). You have to wade through it all to get to a good, interesting, relavant, eye-opening, thoughtful point. It is not just people who are here to do evil, it is the intellectual effluence of everyday life. I put mine out there too, for sure.

 

For the record, I think the mods do an outstanding job of wrangling the trolls and managing the squabbles. Kudos to you all.

 

Incidently, I would contend that while more interesting folks may join with good things to say, the additional volume of intellectual ca-ca may make any of the diamonds harder to find. This is not to say I only want to read things that I agree with, but rather I want to read things that actually mean something.

I think the publicity will be good. If the workload gets to be too much for the mods to handle, I think there are a few posters here who would make very good mods. Trolls can be smacked around by Modzilla. Fans who come and may not be as intelligent as some of the posters here can certainly use it as a learning experience, and in time become valuable and insightful posters in thier own right.

 

I think the good would far outweigh the bad for NSBB. And I cant wait till I become a premium member and help out a bit.

Len is working on the question and answer session. Due to the number of questions and comments he received it's going to take longer than most sessions. I haven't discussed the shout out with Len since it was set up by Aramis Fan. Maybe he's waiting until after the session is posted.

Len said the follow during tonight's broadcast right after Burnitz grounded out to short in the top of the 6th. (DVR's are a wonderful thing.)
