Let's get rid of this Ryan Theroit guy. What is he doing seeing 8 pitches in his first major league at-bat? Apparently he hasn't watched the rest of the Cubs play enough this season.

That was a pretty darn good pitch. At the bottom most point in the zone. Good AB, though.

 

I'm not sure how (1) failing to get the bunt down, then (2) taking a called third strike can be called a "Good AB," but, hey, whatever. He fouled off a couple pitches though!

Swing the bat dinkus. Freaking inexcusable. Can't get the bunt down, then takes strike three called.

 

 

I doubt it was at the call, judging by some people's responses. That was a borderline call though. come on TWalk.

He worked back from an 0-2 count to a full count in his first major league AB, while fouling off some tough pitches, and was called out on a pitch that many guys would get rung on.

 

It was a nice AB
