Hairston always makes it interesting out there .... he's been able to make most of those catches, though.

 

To be fair, his jump wasn't really late. He just isn't as fast and graceful as, say, Corey Patterson. For Patterson, it would have been an over-the-shoulder grab.

 

He does take more interesting routes than Corey or some other regular CFs. But that's not a shocker, he hasn't been playing in the OF for long. He does have the speed to recover from some bad routes.

I think we should keep Hairston as everday CF as a stop-gap, unless we can get a good trade.

Lowry with 78 pitches through 4. The Giants used 6 pitchers last night. It could be a big help all series if we can force Lowry out by the 6th.

Sigh, Cedeño and Murton were one of the few reasons I still watched the Cubs. The Cubs won't be as interesting with those two on the bench. :(
