So we have begun to believe again right? Now who says what we believe in? This is up for debate. Have at it.

 

Early start for this game though!

 

well i still don't believe. They're going to have to win every game in September to get me to believe (you bums better win them all)

 

Illinois season opener is on during this...Cubs get 2nd priority tomorrow, sorry :(

:lol: its tough being an Illinois fan, hopefully tomorrow will be the start of a rebound season..

 

for a "real" team, NIU plays Michigan at the Big House at 2:30 tomorrow on ABC. Go Huskies.

Worthless stats of the day.....

 

CUBS are 8-13 on Saturdays

CUBS are 9-3 vs. Pittsburgh

CUBS are 32-39 in the day time.

CUBS are 31-34 on the road.

CUBS are 39-17 when they score first,.... 25-53 when they don't

CUBS are 19-6 when they score in the first inning,... 45-64 when they don't

CUBS are 53-35 when they don't give up any runs in the 1st inning.... 11-35 when they do

Some more worthless stats for your consideration .....

 

CUBS are 42-55 when Barrett catches, 22-15 when Blanco starts.

CUBS are 16-30 when the temperature is in the 70's

CUBS are 6-0 when attendance is less than 24,000

CUBS are 8-8 when Murton starts in left field

CUBS are 5-8 when Cedeno starts at shortstop

Cedeno bunted to the pitcher for a hit, Hairston to second

I assume that Cedeno's bunt was a sacrifice attempt? Twice in two games Baker's done that garbage with Cedeno on the SECOND BATTER OF THE GAME. Good thing Cedeno beat it out. That inning is why sac bunts are so wasteful this early in the game.
