I've thought for years that if someone steals home, they should be credited with an RBI. I don't know why exactly, I've just always thought it would makes sense.

What do you think?

A run scores. It isn't at the result of an error or double play. So, why not?

Given, the run isn't literally 'batted' in. However, I have just always thought that it would be kind of a cool idea. A reward of sorts.

But if you take it to the absurd extreme the idea kinda falls apart. Let's say the comic book hero 'The Flash" decided to take up baseball. Give him six hundred at bats and let him try to get down a bunt every time. Say he's successful at it 350 times-Whoosh! Safe at first! Then Zip! on the next three pitches he steals second, third then home. So under the stealing home=rbi, the Flash would almost double the single season rbi record while never hitting the ball farther than six feet from the plate.

Yeah I gotta lot free time on my hands. :P

Why would the Flash stop at first base?

Mr. Fantastic would be a better base stealer than Flash. He could stretch his leg all the way to second before taking his foot off first. And he'd make some hell of a catches in the outfield.
